i would say no i have a 50 lb on a 14 ft jon with a 2.5 merc and it is just about perfect my lowest speed is not to fast and the highest speep is good and fast to hop around short distances i would go with a 70 to 80 if i were you or a 101 if u can afford it

in ohio our fish have just entered post spawn.... the past saturday and sunday i fished a local lake and was skunked 2 days in a row. the first day i fished the dam ( a long rocky shoreline with a bite or two on a fat free shad) then went to the upper part of the lake this place is shallow and a **** ton of weeds i fished this area with a tube trying to find schools of fry and i saw several bass gaurding these schools of fry but i could not get theses fish to bite however tht may be me spooking them. i found shallow point by the ramp with alot of wood on it and i saw 2 fish just chilin and moving a little bit but i could not get them to bite my chigger craw. my question is during this time of year where should the fish be and how should i be looking to catch them...are most fish gaurding fry close to shore or not also when you spot a fish on cover where do u place your lure in relation to it . thanks in advance

definintly i would rather fish on a day when conditions are just complete crap to make myself work harder for a bite b.c. thats gunna give u confidence next time you wake up for a tournement and the conditions suck atleast thts how i see it

i have about that same setup but its a 2 stroke and it moves pretty good i would say deffinitly better than a 50 pound

i think its decent sometimes but the one where he was on a inflatable pool boat on a golf pond made me wanna burn my tv but hes ok

money minow is good but i rly like the money minnow hooks ...ive tried alot of differnet swimbait hooks and cant get the bait to swim right without the monwy minnow hooks so money minnow+money minnow hooks= greatness

if your carefull i think you will be fine but im no expert....if i were you i would make sure u dont have all the weight on one side and fish sitting down b.c. i can almost guarantee it wont be very stable and wear ur life jacket but aside from that you did a helluva job in my opinion it looks really clean
