  1. Strike King makes their Rage Craw, Menace, and Rage Bug in Safire blue and swamp water blue, which is more muted. Check them out.
  2. Lowrance has one I think.
  3. Hayabusa announced today that it’s coming out with their Brush Easy head with a bigger 1/0 hook. I can tell you from personal experience this is a VERY under the radar jighead...
  4. You all have done a fantastic job of highjacking this thread. Lol
  5. Please tell me you have pics!!!!
  6. It’s that time! We’re only a few weeks away from ICAST! I love this time of year. ICAST gossip brings out my inner teenaged girl... Post any new items you hear about or see (including links). Even if it’s a rumor, post it! If there’s anything you hope to see, post that as well! Ill go first: Strike King coming out with Carolina Chrome color (straight chrome) in several topwaters and a few hardbaits. I hole to see: Duckett spinning Rods with reel seats similar to St Croix Eyecon and Enigma. Lightweight Lews spinning reels (<7oz 3000 size). I hope Strike King comes out with a Perch colored swimbait and would LOVE to see a SK glide bait and pencil popper.
  7. Thanks! I was hoping for TW because I want to order a special run color of Rage plastics. Just looking to save a few more dollars.
  8. I remember TW having some good sales on Fathers Day in the past. Not this year? Are they running it late? What gives?
  9. Has anyone ever taken some of the weight (Not the rattles) From a red eye Shad? I fish a lot of shallow sweetie lakes and I find the half ounce to be a bit too heavy, but the perfect sized profile. What I really want is a quarter ounce version of a Half ounce bait.Has anyone ever done it? What were the results? Did the action change much and how?
  10. Hey all! This winter, I want to invest in Garmin Panoptix Livescope. I’ve been running Garmin’s for a few years and this is absolutely something I want next. This being the time of year for sales, I was hoping someone in this community would find a good deal on what I’m looking for: -Echomap Plus 7x or 9x -Livescope Transducer and Box combo I don’t expect to save on the transducer, but I’m hopeful for some kind of discount on the unit. If anyone sees anything, please send me a PM! side note: if anyone is in the market for a non-chirp Echomap 73sv w/ GT40 transducer and all the accessories, PM ME!
  11. How about the west coast guys that have to travel east???
  12. Listen to Ike’s latest podcast and HE was hinting pretty hard at a new league. He even asked one of his guests (Sumerall?) if he would fish a new league if it meant more money but not qualifying for the classic. He also asked BTC if he would still watch Basmaster if the big names (KVD, Skeet, Swindle) weren’t fishing it... He ends it by saying “Whatever happens, just know it’s going to be very good for the sport”... somethings happening...Could be a big time deal, guys.
  13. One of my favorites. I love the bullet shaped head; comes out of cover easy. Thin skirt, once you trim it, it can be very compact but still has a big, strong hook. Love that jig, the original Hack Attack around grass, and the structure jig for offshore and skipping docks.
  14. I suppose I can just drill my own holes?
  15. It’s been a wet summer here in eastern Pennsylvania. I have an aluminum that doesn’t have waterproof compartments. After a trip, I take all of my boxes out, spread them across my garage floor, open them up and hope they dry before the rust sets in. Unfortunately, that’s not always the case. Does anyone one have any tips on drying your wet boxes and gear? I’ve read about the Flambeu ZRust boxes. Do they actually work?
  16. I held this rod at the show and yes, it’s fantastic for the price ($99 I believe). I was VERY impressed by the Black ice rod. It feels every bit like a high end rod. I think that one is around $380 or so.
  17. Lowrance has been overshadowed by Garmin and Humminbirds’ offerings. I’m not even sure what they have, but I can go to their booth tomorrow.
  18. It’s that time of year again! ICAST is just around the corner and every year I create this thread in the hopes that everyone with knowledge will post all the info on soon-to-be-released products. As always, please post anything you know, and maybe even what you speculate... I’ll go first: Strike King: -Pip Squeak (baby poppin’ Perch) -Pad Perch (walking Shad style frog) Duckett: -Black Ice release -400 Series casting reels -Crappie rod series abu: -Ike series revo reels thats all I got. Please add and share!
  19. That’s what I was looking for. Thank you!
  20. I have a non-chirp 73sv at my bow and a chirp 73sv at my console. I found a used Striker 73sv for a smokin’ deal. My question is, can I link three units to share waypoints? I want to run the Striker as strictly GPS but I want it to share waypoints with the other two units. the previous two units are already linked and sharing waypoints. thanks! Just had a thought: I suppose the thing to do would be to link the Striker (gps) with the bow unit. If I’m only running the Chirp at the console for sonar and I have a map in a separate unit, it doesn’t need to be connected. thoughts?
  21. Looking for early 2010’s PAA tournaments to watch. In particular, 2011 Neely Henry. Ive searched YouTube and google and got nothing. Anyone know a source?
  22. He clearly was using a huge (7-8”) wakebait the first two or three days. The Bassmaster photo gallery said it was a Magnum Sexy Dog (not yet available) but that’s not the bait we all saw on Live. Anyone know what it was? It had three hooks, so it wasn’t a Redfin. Plus, we was walking it like a spook.
  23. This is exactly what I was looking for. Thank you!
  24. I’ve also found Steel leaders, hooks, line coming out of the rear orifice, but that’s pretty common.
