  5. Due to the popularity to popularity of this topic, i put together this short video. There are more than 5 ways to rig it, of course, and i mention several others in the video. Enjoy! http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-videos/how-to-rig-senko.html Note that I don't mention the use of O-rings for wacky rigging. When I found a broken wacky ring at the bottom of my livewell, I stopped recommending their use. I never used them to begin with, so clearly it broke on the hookset when somebody else was using it, and the fish ate the Senko. Not good!
  6. As I stated before, I thought it was already available, and was simply asking if anyone had tried it yet. My apologies if my post confused people into thinking it was a review. I assure you, it was not. Had I wanted to post a review, I would have. But I wanted to know who else had tried it and whether or not they liked it. Hope that clears everything up.
  7. Actually, there is a way to check the condition of the unit to see whether or not it needs re-arming. Here's a video that shows how to do it, how to re-arm it, and to test the vest to ensure it's working properly: http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-videos/maintain-inflatable-vest.html Of course BassResource has information on this.
  8. It's been shipped to Amazon and TW as well as others. So, again, it should be available for sale on those sites and others any day now. I thought that it was already "on the shelves" when I posted this thread, but I misinterpreted the information I had. Sorry for the confusion, and I hope that clears it up. Thanks! P.S. I have it and have been using it. It's very smooth and castable.
  9. Jimzee is long gone. Muddy is married and living in N. California. Steezy changed jobs in early 2012 (last I heard from him). It appears George Welcome has closed his guiding business and has thus quit posting on fishing forums, but he is still active on Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/george.welcome.16. I haven't heard anything from The Rooster.
  10. Sounds like Robin Williams hanged himself. What a tragedy.
  11. Actually it is out already, and should be available on Amazon and Tackle Warehouse soon, if not already.
  12. Very close. It's a 1940's & 50's phrase used to describe an event or situation with a disastrous conclusion. Derived from the song Goodnight Irene first recorded by American blues musician Huddie 'Lead Belly' Ledbetter in 1933. We use it when a thread is circling the drain, going downhill into the land of negativity and petty fighting, or gone in a completely different tangent than the original subject of the thread.
  13. And so the prophecy has come true. Irene is knocking on the door. Keep it civil folks or I'm letting her in.
  14. TUF-Line Tournament 8 braid: have you tried it yet? The line casts and handles effortlessly. Smooth, strong, castable - everything you need in a braid without the high price! http://www.tuf-line.com/products_TUF-Lines_26.html
  15. Here's a pic from today:
  16. Do you know if Spectra is in your fishing line? It could mean the difference between a good or a bad day on the water! http://www.spectrafishing.com/?utm_campaign=34897_SpectraDigAds&utm_medium=DigAd&utm_source=BassResourceEnews&utm_content=540x245
  17. Ever heard of this? It protects your boat from damage. Check it out! http://www.towtector.com/index.cfm?ptype=results&category_id=23&mode=cat&ref=b3
  18. I honestly don't see money, value, net worth, income, or any hierarchy (implied, inferred, or otherwise understood) as being even remotely the issue. It's about respect. And it goes both ways. Regardless of how poor or rich you are, respect is free; and there are jerks on each end of the spectrum as well as in between. Character and manners are learned; not dictated by what is owned or earned.
  19. Hey Bobby Megastrike sent me these photos from today's weigh-in at the Elite series tournament on the Delaware. Enjoy! Kevin Short with Bobby's son Boyd Duckett Iaconelli and Bobby Don Barone and Kelly Jordon Shaw Grigsby with a 14lb bag Charlie Hartley
  20. It's a Washington/Oregon State thing. I don't think any other state requires them.
  21. Here's a picture of them. They're a chartruese elastic band you put on your outboard that say "contest" on them. You can pick them up at local tackle stores and bass boat dealerships (Auburn sports, Limit Out Marine, etc).
