Gun Control - A Hot Topic
Hey guys, I know gun control is a big topic these days, but you gotta remember there is a very strict "no politics" rule here. Many of you are forgetting - or ignoring - this rule. I'm sick of editing political comments - pro or con - regarding lawmakers and party lines in your state or in DC. This is not the place for it. So check your political views at the door, or don't post. I've asked and warned you guys about this several times in the past few weeks, and I'm done with it. Continued violation of this rule will result in the elimination of the gun forums altogether.

What's Your Favorite Jerkbait Color?
One of the most effective cold water baits is the suspending jerkbait. Cold water and sluggish bass are no problem for a suspending Smithwick Rogue! What's your favorite jerkbait color? http://www.lurenet.com/brands/smithwick-lures?cn=WB82&att=WB82

4 X 4 Necessary For Bass Boat?
My first boat was a tin boat. But that was dictated by budget more than by choice. That said, I got all the "stupid" mistakes out of my system with the aluminum, meaning they were less costly mistakes. LOL! But if I could do it over again, I'd go straight to fiberglass. Now all this talk about trucks....I have to admit, I have two. I have a 1999 F-250 V-10 that did very well towing both the aluminum and the Ranger 520 Commanche. But when I wanted to get a camper...well I had to upgrade to this baby. An F-450 King Ranch edition dually Diesel! 600hp and 850lbs of torque baby! She pulls the boat and camper over the passes better than the F-250 just towing the boat! Got her decked out with Ride-Rite air springs w/built-in compressor, Stable Load suspension upgrade, and a Tork-lift Superhitch Magnum with a 3' SuperTruss Extension. We're talking 23,000 lbs towing capacity boys! Bad to the bone!

Manti Te'o
I gotta admit, I really didn't care much about this story to begin with. Seems like his teammate is either a jerk or has mental issues. And now with the latest twist...I'm out. Don't care anymore. It doesn't affect me whatsoever, so I've moved on.

Upgraded A New Smartphone
I have the Samsung Galaxy S3, after owning the HTC One. Nice upgrade. Another good choice is the Google Nexus, especially if you're an Android purist (no added bloatware!). I didn't get it because I use wi-fi calling a lot, and the Nexus doesn't support it. Otherwise, it's an excellent choice. The Galaxy Note is a cool phone/tablet hybrid, but it's a bit big for my tastes. Some people love them though. All these phones are fast!

Upgraded A New Smartphone
"Free" isn't really "free". The cost of the phone is wrapped into your monthly bill - and you keep paying that fee even after you pay it off. Which is why you're locked into a 2 year agreement. The first year, you're paying off the "free" phone, the 2nd year the phone company makes a ton of money off you by overcharging you. This is also why you can't upgrade until you're near the end of your contract. And this is also why you pay penalties if you end your contract early. Why pay more than you have to? Why get locked into a contract and then be restricted by when you can get a new phone? You can buy the phones outright at T-Mobile, and get a lower monthly bill, because they're separated from each other. They have interest free installment plans to pay off the phone if that's the direction you want to go, but once it's paid off, you're done. You're not paying extra for the luxury of thinking you have a "free" phone. To top it off, there are no annual contracts, and no waiting until you're "eligible" for another "free" phone. You can get a new phone whenever you want, and you can leave whenever you want with no penalties. * Disclaimer: I do work for T-Mobile, so I'm just a tad biased.

4 X 4 Necessary For Bass Boat?
I've towed with both, and you want the 4WD, hands down. There were several times where I got stuck on a ramp with my 2WD due to too much sand and dirt on the ramp - not ice. Once I went a bit too far into the water and got the tires on some algae. I just about lost the the rig in the drink, and had to be pulled out. That was the final straw for me. I've used a 4WD ever since and have never had a problem. And yes, I've had several instances where I needed, and used, the 4WD without any problems. Glad I have it!

Taking Troller Motor Off
Yup, you're spot on. You should have some sort of panel in the bow of the boat, It probably has switches, and is where the wires for the trolling motor come out of. It should have several screws to hold it in place. Just unscrew them and pull the panel off. And like somebody said above, wear a sweatshirt or coat when reaching in there. There's a lot of unfinished fiberglass that can stick you.

First Surgery
Yup, you need to get up and moving asap, because there's a (remote) threat of a blood clot forming, which could cause some really serious problems. Merely walking around mitigates the risk. Laying around increases the risk. My wife went through the same thing. Spent a few days in the hospital, then a few more at home. Was back to work the next week, and 100% 2 weeks later.

Taking Troller Motor Off
Those are bolts my friend, with locking nuts. You need to remove the panel at the front - where the depthfinder is - to get to the access area underneath the trolling motor. Then you just use a socket wrench to hold the nut in place while you unscrew it from above. TIP! Place a bunch of paper towels or old t-shirts in the bottom of the access area before doing any of this. That way you won't lose a nut if accidentally falls out.

About The Flu Shot....
I've had the flu shot twice, and immediately came down with the flu the next day both times. I've never had one since!
