Another...Is BR Loading SLOW..?
The site is moving really fast for me. About 7 months ago we had an issue where some people were experiencing slowness when others weren't. It turned out to be a bad router at the host provider's end. So folks, just like the last time, help me figure out what's going on. If you're experiencing slowness, please do the following: 1. Go to http://winmtr.sourceforge.net/winmtr_bin.zip 2. Choose to Open the file when prompted. (The Zip utility on your computer should open the zip file and show the contents.) 3. Extract the file contents to a folder on your computer. To perform a traceroute using WinMTR: 1. Locate the file where you extracted the zip file. 2. Click the "WinMTR.exe" file. (The WinMTR window opens.) 3. Enter bassresource.com in the Host field. 4. Click "Start". WinMTR begins sending packets to the IP address. 5. When the "Sent" number reaches 50 click "Stop". 6. Finally, copy from the clipboard and send a paste of this report to me via PM. Thanks!!

Now I Know!!!
I hear you on that!! If I leave my lawn for one week in the summer, looks like I haven't mowed all year! If I left it for 2 weeks, the house would look borderline abandoned lol Yep, I'm mowing the lawn every other day right now. If I let it go any longer than that, it just bogs down the mower.

If you're new here....
Looks like it's time to bring this subject back into the spotlight. :

Actually it was a question about how to choose the right prop for your boat.

Megastrike Fish attractant
HOLY COW!! I just realized why my coffee tasted so weird on the boat! Come to think of it, that's NOT clear jelly on my toast either! Oh man, I gotta stop drinking the night before I go fishin'.

pinacle rod update
Looks like there was some miscommunication going on between the mods, Pinnacle, and I. I cleared it up last night, so problem solved. Carry on!

history of the site
Actually it's a seasonal thing. May, June, and July are the months when there's a larger number of beginning anglers than any other time of the year.

Car wreck...
2-3G's? Oh, so you put a hairline scratch in the paint, eh? Ya, car repairs are ridiculously expensive, but at least they can be repaired. People sometimes don't fare as well, so I'm glad to hear everyone's alright.

Icast Show?
It's NOT open to the public! Sorry. And, holy moly, if you want to know why, please do a search for ICAST on this site (http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?action=search). We go through this same conversation every year.

Slow Site
Yep, the server was running some backup routines that took longer than expected. All clear now.

Now I Know!!!
We've had one day over 75 so far this year (making a new record of 272 days in a row below 75), and over 80 days of below normal temps (5-10 degrees below normal). PLUS 2x the normal amount of rainfall. We're breaking all-time low "high" temperatures left and right. I'm sick of the cold, damp weather! We've been getting hit by daily fronts for several months now. The fishing is all screwed up. That said, we've had TWO days in a row now without rain. Woo Hoo! Even still, it's very dark, cloudy, and gloomy. And rain is forecasted for tomorrow. :-/ While I wouldn't want the sweltering heat some of you are having, it would be nice if summer arrived here.

pro fisherman
"City Limits" is just like that. Ike goes out on a body of water he's never fished and has a certain amount of time to catch his limit. His only "advantage"? Fishing with a local who knows the lake. That said, I fished in a tournament against Gary Klein on a lake he had never been on before where he only had 3 hrs prefishing the day before. He not only won, he absolutely smoked the field of 200+ teams.

bass deeply hooked
Well, I know this is going to sound like a sales pitch, but when I have a severe bleeder that's gut hooked, I cut the line about 2 feet above the hook, throw him in the livewell and add "Please Release Me". About 10-15 mins later, he's fine and swimming normally. THEN I use the hook removal method mentioned on this site. I've done this during tournaments where I've left the fish in the well for hours, and they've fared just fine. I'm not saying you can save every fish, but often they have a better chance of surviving if you do a little triage rather than just letting them go.
