  1. BTW - we have confirmed there are many pros coming to this site to read the articles and visit the forums. Although they may not be posting, they are here frequently. A few today even made comments about things that were posted this morning!
  2. Thought I would show you a glimpse of the "behind the scenes" at the Bassmaster Classic: KVD Skeet Reese Casey Ashley Timmy Horton donated his hair to the Locks of Love program. Here's the shot just before they started cutting: Here's after: Mark Zona sat at our table: Jeff Kriet Gerald Swindle (that's Gary Klein in the background)
  3. Water temp is @49 throughout, give or take a few degrees depending on location.
  4. Hey that's fantastic! I'll have to listen to it when I have a moment. Thanks for sharing.
  5. Welcome home!
  6. That just sent chills up my spine! Good ones! All I can say is WOW!!
  7. Shop around. There's storage places where you can store the boat inside and have power. These aren't "boat/RV" storage places, these are places like Surguard. I did this with 2 different storage places. Your independant storage facilities are usually the best bets. Also there ARE "boat/RV"storage places around that offer covered or indoor storage w/power. There are options. You just have to search around.

  13. Who do I think will win? Aaron Martins. That last day is going to be a typical post front blue-bird day. That's when he should shine.
  14. I'm up for a show-n-tell. 'Course, if we get skunked, there won't be much to tell! ------ How many people are coming in Sunday after 5pm? I need to know asap because you can purchase fishing licenses at their store, but it closes at 5pm. However, they will open it in the evening for a short designated period if we all come in at the same time to get licenses. Please let me know asap if this works for you.
  15. What Sam said. You need a Tax ID no matter what, IMO. Ya, you could use your SS#, but it makes life much easier if you have a tax ID. I simply went down to my county's dept. of licensing office to get mine (yes, they do more than just driver's licenses). That was 12 years ago. Now you can do it all online. Note that you'll need a state business license on top of getting a tax ID. Depending on your city, you may also need a city business license too. Bottom line: recommend going to your state's website and doing some reading. http://www.ri.gov/business/index.php?subcategory=17
  16. +1 Congrats to Newman +2 Good job for Newman. Was really hoping Stewart would take it, but, nice to see Newman back in the winner's circle. I have never cared for Kurt Busch. But, I have new respect for the guy. He helped out a teammate and didn't try to make it a three way finish. Busch showed some class and real teamwork that I didn't think he was capable of - very cool. 8-) +1 Also, the COT has made the racing boring, in my opinion. I mean, several times there should have been some major wrecks, but the car straightened itself out. It seem the more cautions there are, the more strategy is involved. Not sure if that's true, but it makes it more interesting to see who pits and who doesn't, and why.... and how it ultimately plays out in the end. Could REALLY do without all the commercial breaks!
  17. Say you have one of the top bass fishing pros sitting right in front of you, all ears and ready to answer your questions, what would you ask?
  18. If Guntersville is too far away from Iowa, certainly Fork is out of the question. :
  19. The bearings are easy. They're oil filled, so there's really very little to do, other than changing the oil every 2-3 years, which is easy to do (as long as it's warm outside). Just watch the oil reservoir to see if the oil turns white. A chocolate milk color is ok, you just don't want to see it white....or the level drop. Just check for any oil puddles on the back side of the tires where you park every so often. The rear seal has been known to fail on rare occasions. Brakes need to checked yearly. But they last a very long time. So really there's little to do. There's really a lot of easy stuff you can do for yourself on your boat. The easiest is simply being observant. Just checking for anything loose, worn, etc. and becoming familiar with how everything is supposed to be is your best preventative maintenance. I know I've saved myself hundreds of dollars by catching something early. I presume you don't have a manual for the boat. Not a problem. Contact Ranger through their website. They will send you a manual free of charge.
  20. Same here. I think it's a Vista thing.
  21. Deadline for making reservations is 2/23. You'd better get to gettin' if you're going to come! So far we have a 100% increase of people coming this year over last. No doubt this event will continue to explode in popularity. This is your chance to be there from the beginning! I also have a few nice suprises for those attending. I'm not saying anything further on that. You'll just have to be there to find out! Looking forward to Guntersville!
  22. Glenn, you're in your 40s. You don't qualify as an "old dude." You're not an old dude until at least 50 and you buy your first pair of plaid pants. I don't qualify? Wow, I'm not an old dude. Well, I'm not young either. That must mean.... *GASP* I'M MIDDLE-AGED!! AAAAAHHH!
  23. Excellent point Senile1.
  24. Folding? No. Just patient. :
