Go to lure
Bone/Silver Super Spook Jr. anywhere, any time, any fish! I practically can't hit the water without one rod rigged with one. But ofcourse if the topwater bite just isn't happening I'll grab another rod (the SS stays on for luck at that point!) with a Slug-Go. I'll give them all day if the fish aren't hitting something else better!

Rant about fishing shows
This is definitely a subject I've thought about numerous times. It's absolutely sickening to me that so many fisherman who are obviously at the forefront of the sport and have even more access to information on bass mortality than most of us, can handle fish the way they do on their shows. Since I fish both fresh and salt, I likewise watch both fresh and saltwater fishing shows. Interestingly, many of the saltwater guys have starting coming around to the importance of care when handling fish and have begun commenting on it more during their shows. I've yet to see this kind of consideration from a bass fishing tv host. I hope what I just said doesn't start a firestorm of defense for tv personalities who have expressed concern for the fish on their shows, I know they are out there, they are just few and far between. Since I don't watch fishing shows as often as I use to, I'm sure I've missed some. I just feel disheartened when I see those "heroes" of fishing from my youth treating fish the way they do, now that I pay more attention to that sort of thing. In all tv fishing show hosts defense, much of the information regarding fish mortality is relatively recent (10-15yrs), so I do not fault many of them for some of their handling techniques on OLD shows. The tournament situation is a whole different can of worms and I've run on so long already I'll just stop myself here and say, I agree! :-X

Back problems when fishing.
Everybody is right, especially those who said see a doctor NOW! I find that more and more people around my age (24) are having some sort of back problems and I think much of it stems from poor posture compounded by the fact that many of us tend to "fix it" ourselves. Basically, every recommendation under the sun will work to help back pain, but it doesn't mean they will necessarily help YOUR back pain if you don't know what is causing the pain in the first place. See a doctor and then go with their recommendations as to how to treat the problem that YOU are having. As many have already said, it could save you a world of hurt in the future! Good luck!

This week's batch of bait's....
Well, that's just great, I finally got that darn baitmonkey locked up and you had to go dangle the key in his face! Those are all some awesome looking baits, but I have to say I'm partial to the Warmouth and the Lake Toho Sexy Shad.

Anyone fish spoons
I fish spoons all the time... but mostly for Redfish in saltwater! But this is a bass fishing site so I'll be serious. Yes, I fish jigging spoons quite often when the water heats up, but I'm always casting mine, since most of the lakes I fish aren't very deep. I tend to use mainly silver/chrome hopkins or similar spoons from 1/4 oz, to 1oz. Like Crappiebasser said, they're great for schooling bass, and I love them as a search tool when the fish are aggressive because I can fish them at any depth I want by varying the speed a little. I've also used the Carolina rig with a weedless spoon for the weight with some success in the past and I like the technique because a spoon will stay on top of most weeds better than a weight because of it's flat shape, which keeps both spoon and worm from getting too weeded up.

Revenge Spinnerbaits
I just bought my first Revenge spinnerbait about a month ago. Appearance wise it's the first spinnerbait that I've liked since the Horizon brand ones I bought at Academy about 10 years ago and haven't been able to find since. The detail is awesome and like someone else said the amount of vibration it puts out is great. On the downside I've had a chance to fish with it once and after one fish the wire was literally completely straightened out, and the skirt keeper tore so I lost the skirt too. Not completely the fault of the bait though as that first fish was a blasted pickerel, and the wire did bend back to shape fairly easily, but looks a little week at the line tie now. We'll see how it holds up to the next few fish now that I have a new skirt on it. A point for revenge though, even with a blasted pickerel thrashing teeth all over my bait, the head paint seems unscathed! That's a plus for me. Overall, despite a shortened first outing, I'd definitely buy another. I'm a diehard spinnerbait fisherman and practically can't fish without atleast one rod rigged with a spinnerbait. The Revenge spinnerbaits really impress me as far as appearance and action in the water and as long as the wire holds up I'll be impressed with their durability too.
