  1. Might be a bad scale.... I used to have a cheap one that would guess below the actual weight, then I bought a digital one and it has always been accurate
  2. MMM. The Angry Whopper is the sheet. Another vote for the angry whopper I also like a big, greasy philly cheese steak. This thread is making me hungry
  3. A large, hungry bass won't hesitate on eating a duckling swimming in the water. It seems like they will eat anything that swims and will fit in their mouths.
  4. Why riot over a win? :
  5. From C. Florida? I'm expecting to see a lunker caught on one of them with the quality bass you guys have in Florida I wouldn't catch something on a swimbait around here
  6. It's whatever feels comfortable to you. For spinning, I reel with my left hand. For baitcasting, I reel with my right hand. It's all about what feels better to you.
  7. The Zoom trick worms flat out catch fish. I remember way back when I caught my first bass using a T-rig Zoom trickworm. As said above, they are great on a shakey head.
  8. x2 man bass live everywhere. x3, all the rivers I fish have brackish water and they are full of bass
  9. You have a couple of PIGS there! I've got to get back out on the water this week. Great fish and story
  10. I've stuck with senkos, but a buddy of mine swears by Tiki Sticks. I'll have to give them a try I guess
  11. You know its got to be tough fishing there with as many guys that were skunked on the first day. The weights are terrible too. Those fish must have lockjaw
  12. Looks good BM, great job on the swimbait . Have you had a chance to test the action on it
  13. I'll keep an eye out for them this week, I didn't know Zoom had a violet color
  14. Anymore pictures of fish caught with the lure?
  15. I had a friend who also decided to shave his head, not too long after that, he has never had a more uncomfortable sunburn
  16. A jig and pig is basically just a jig with a trailer on the back, such as a big soft plastic craw: http://www.***.com/descpageSFTSTRIKETRLRSTRIKE-SKRCR.html Do a search on jigs and craws at BPS for them, try to match the color of the jig/pig combo. A jig and pig has gotten me plenty of lunkers when pitching docks and wooden structure. My first time ever using one I caught a 5-6 pound bass, so don't hesitate on buying some
  17. I'm a member on a beer forum. Tomorrow I'll do a search on IPA's in your general vicinity. Though I wont be able to recommend them from personal experience, the grading scale and write-ups on this site are top-notch. Enough so where I'd feel comfortable recommending a few for you. Where exactly do you live? Wow a member of a beer forum? Somebody must really like the sauce. ;D That's what I'm thinking
  18. Down here with the temp being over 90 during the day, right now is the time to use them. I'm not sure about you since your up in mass., their a great summer time bait. 8-) Now about the weight, it all depends on what depth your fishing and such. The big worms I fish are Zoom Ol Monsters and I t-rig them with a 3/8-1/4 oz. bullet weight. They are also great for using on a c-rig though. It may take a while to build some confidence with them since you won't catch as many as you would with 4-7" worms. Your bites might be few and far between, but when you do hook into a lunker, you'll be looking forward to using them next summer.
  19. I plan on it soon, looks like a good one from the previews
  20. Great job!!! I can't really tell from the angle it's at, but the fish looks like a nice lunker
  21. Compared to working and such, yeah it's relaxing. But to me, bass fishing isn't really relaxing. After an entire day of it, I am worn out both mentally and physically. Mentally- I'm trying to figure out what bait to choose, depth, pattern, where to cast next, etc. It all seems simple, but when put together, it's basically one big puzzle. Physically- Standing for hours and hours that day, casting, working the bait, fighting a bunch of fish (only on those good days) all add up to make me fall asleep when I get home. Especially after that hot sun has drained all my energy throughout the day. It may seem relaxing, but when you go back and look at it all, your worn out at the end of the day. (I'm not complaining either. For some reason I keep going back out there every chance I get, it's my addiction/hobby )
  22. Great fish! 27 in 2 hours, that only happens in a dream around here
  23. I was agreeing with your post BD, I meant it as I haven't ever heard any of my friends or anyone else say it
  24. I haven't heard anyone say "pounding"
  25. Thanks for the heads up RW. We're starting to get into the summer weather pattern down here where the storms like to pop up out of no where.
