Ya I can. Water was 79 where I was today and that's pretty warm. I have seen it up to 82 last year. Got to try to fish early or late now for the best luck.

Way to go SausageFingers23. Thanks for the info also. I hit up Rocky Pond today and caught 7 largemouth biggest was 1lbs 10oz and 3 Smallmouth. I was very happy to finally catch some smallmouth. Biggest smallie was 1lbs 7oz. Boy do they fight and I had one heck of a time tring to weight it. I will say one thing about the fish I caught they were very thin so I assume there are not alot of bait fish. I did not get any bluegill hits on the senkos and that is very rare. Got out tonight at Horseshoe pond in Merrimack an caught 4 Bass. Fishing there is very tough due to it gets ALOT of pressure. I was one of 3 boats out there on that small pond. I am just happy I did not get skunked. Biggest was a whopping 1lbs 4oz and the smallest well you will see from the pictures LOL. Those little guys make me laugh, But they have to eat to.

Bass spawn is well over in sourthen NH.

I think the issue here is everyone wants the latest and greatest bass boat, But you know what I sleep alot better at night knowing I paid cash for mine. A 18' 1989 Bass tracker 40hp dual console. Ya it may not be the fastest boat with all the goodies, But I catch big fish just like the 45,000 plus bass rigs do. ;D

Thats alright Matt. Look at it as a cool experence. I personally never have done well at night, Plus the bugs kill me. For me anyway as soon as the sun goes down I'm done.

Ya I think I will give Minn Kota a shot as along as the bolt pattern is the same. I am hoping to see a big improvement over the 43lbs MG. It's a little slow and does not get threw the pads that well. I really would like a 101lbs, But 1000 bucks is out of the question.

First I did a search and could not find any answers on this. What do you guys reccomend for a brand Minn kota or Motorguide in the 70lbs 24v range? My limit is $600.00. I am upgradeing from a 43lbs Motorguide. I would also like to know if the bolt pattern is the same for both Motorguide and Minn Kota? Thanks to all that can help on this.

I use only the skip gap, I just like the way it keeps the worm up on the hook. But like Jay said they both will work.

Got out this morning for 3hrs and caught only 4. Caught 3lbs 11oz and a 1lbs 15oz and a couple of little fellas. Bite was really slow and the water was very murky. On the 3lbs 11oz check out how little I had the hook on his lip, I was luck on this one.

Nice Fish baboosicbass08 . I am going to try that place out. May be a hawg in there. I got out today at Mill and only caught one little fella, Bite was very slow. I did lose a hawg though right as I reached to grab him (Line broke). Man I hate it when that happens. :'( Jay where do you fish?

I pretty much use Senkos for everything. I hardly ever fish at night so I don't use top water baits that often, They usually miss more then you catch anyway. It is exciting when they do hit though. I use cheaper Ugly sticks 5'6" Med/Heavy rods LOL with zebco mono line and have caught a ton of big fish on this equipment. Buying the best rod /reel combo won't guarantee you will catch fish. Just buy what you can afford. Check out the thread anyone have any luck in southern NH. Everyone on here is willing to help so just ask. Good Luck and post pictures often.

Maybe, But I think I'll stick to a place that has more then a few big bass. Honestly I just don't see it. I have pounded that place and never caught anything larger then a pound and a half. It's a good spot to take the kids though for numbers.
