  1. Well I only went up a short distance. There is plenty of good fishing there (Keep in mind I went in the summer). It does not take long to move along either though. I did not need an anchor either, and did not need to keep on the troiling motor. I used a crankbait (shad color) and my son tried a worm and caught a nice bass in the brush. I do not think there is a way to get on at exit 6, But I see a nice area I would like to try. There are full size bass boats going in all the time there (at the football field ramp area behind conway arena). If you want to travel any distance get the outboard as I'm sure you will get there faster.
  2. I just have a 30lbs trolling motor and do just fine going up, But if you want to get there faster get an outboard. During the summer there is a ton of milfoil so now is a good time to go.
  3. Didn't go there, But am a big UNH hockey fan along with my son.
  4. The best luck we had at the Nashua River is behind Conway Arena by the football field, There is a boat launch there and I drive up a ways working the shore in the boat. There is alot of cover. A guy that was launching a boat told me there are some hawgs in there.
  5. Thanks for the tips. I am very new to Bass fishing under a year, But last year I did very well for my first year. My best luck has been Nashua river (behind conway arena there is a boat ramp there), Mill Pond, POTANIPO LAKE (In Brookline, NH) and Horseshoe pond. If you have not tried the Nashua river give it a try both me and my son did ok there to. Popanipo is good, But very busy in the summer.
  6. What color was the tube? Where did you catch it? Was it going toward the left of the boat ramp? What other ponds have you tried?
  7. WOW that is bigger then the I caught last augest. I would say atleast 5 1/2 lbs. The one I caught was 5lbs 1oz. What did you use for a lure? I was there today early and fished from the shore but did not get anything. I only stayed there for about an hour. I think I saw you out there, But not sure. What time did you catch it? Where else did you try?
  8. 10? I guess you found the school. What lake/pond were you fishing? Anyway nice job.
  9. My son and I went out also, But no luck here either.
  10. We may see you there. I am not sure if I will take the boat as it is suppose to be windy and it makes it hard to fish in my little boat.
  11. Cool good for her. There are alot of pickeral there to. Did you fish from the shore? My son caught a horned pout and a few bass from the shore before I got my boat. There are bass there for sure, But can be difficult to catch in the summer with all the milfoil. I did not bother to go out today, But may try tommorow.
  12. I found it. I may check them out. Thanks for the info.
  13. I used a crankbait (walmart special), As a matter of fact I use that the most in the summer and catch alot of bass. I caught it in the middle. My son did better then me and he is only 8 yrs old. I have never tried those other places, But can you give me directions?
  14. Hi Tom last year I caught a 5 pounder out of mill pond in August. My son did well well there to, But the millfoil makes it tough to fish there. How is Flints pond in Hollis? Is there a boat launch for a 8 ft boat?
  15. I have been using the Jerk bait (gold) and a Jig with a crawfish trailer (black/blue) and still nothing, The water temp was 48 degrees today before the rain my question is should I wait till the afternoon to try instead of the morning to fish? Also would a pork trailer help the Jig? Thanks to all that can help.
  16. I personally like Bill Dance better. Bass pros is OK to.
  17. Went out again today and got nothing. I did try the jerk bait also. I'm glad I bought it though as I'm sure it will work. I may try another pond today, But I still think it's to COLD. I do refuse to give up though .
  18. Thanks alot for the tips. I will give that a shot.
  19. I am new to fishing, Well started last year. Would it be safe to assume Bass won't bite till the water is in the 50's? I am now fishing with a jig, spinnerbait and have tried a 6" worm. My graph shows them deep, But no luck catching them yet. Any ideas to help me out?
  20. Any idea what the water temp is there? In NH it is low 40's and I have not been able to get a bit. My guess is I will need to wait till the water gets in the 50's. Not a blue gill in site where I am.
  21. Any luck yet in the southern part of NH yet for largemouth? Last time I went out the water temp at in the low 40's. Not even a bluegill.
  22. Well I figured I would give it a shot at my favorite pond today, But got nothing. :'( Water temp was 42 degees. I tried for 3hrs then gave up. I'll keep at it.
  23. I just hope for ALOT of warm days. Been a long winter. I don't ice fish so as you can imagine I am just itching to get out there.
  24. Nashua. I fish Mill pond and Horseshoe pond. When I checked them out yesterday they were starting to melt and could see water. I am hoping to get out there soon.
  25. Just checked them out today. :'( I hope they thaw soon. My son and I can't wait to get out there.
