  2. a bunch o pirates ye are. All I have to say is my cable feeds through my dvd recorder.
  3. Is this different from the last time this was posted? Is it a new quarter already?
  4. Welcome to the forum, hopefully someone from your area will be by soon. If not trying posting in the geographic area threads about midway down the main forum page. Good luck.
  5. What does the registration have on it a far as length? That will probably be the determining factor. Some states have the exact length and others round off. I had a hydrosport once that was 17' 4", registration stated 17.
  6. Pond with allot of weeds? Are the weeds under the water or all the way to the top? If submerged I would throw a double prop buzzbait. My experience with small ponds is that there aren't that many key spots where the big fish hang, which is good for you. The bass won't willingly leave her spot, knowing this I've found pond bass are vulnerable to a buzz. Its making allot of noise, passing over her head time after time and time again. Sooner or later they crush that buzz. Make repeated cast at differing angles until the fish is finally annoyed enough to hit the lure. During one summer, the best I ever had, I broke my PB 4-5 times, lost count of bass between 4-5 lb range, ended up with 3 over seven the best being 8.14 all in the same pond caught in the same general area. I fished almost everyday, caught several on plastics but every fish over 7lbs came on a buzz.
  7. I use a 7ft MH Moderate Fast Shimano Convergence

Not to sound overly harsh, but u put your email and phone number on a public ad on the internet and are surprised someone tried to scam u?
  9. Your local health dept should be able to test the water, many have a Kit. Your local USDA office can test both the fish and water, but I would call the local DNR first to see if it has already been tested. Also if this pond is part of the storm water drainage, then the local municipality may be testing it
  10. Maybe its because he wears a kilt!
  11. For those taking long trips with the kids, I strongly recommend checking the audio books out from your library. I pop it in, the kids are quiet and listening to the story and best of all no "are we there yets". They don't even argue, this series of books did more to get kids reading than anything else.
  12. When it comes to suggesting a do it all rod my recommendation is MH MF, that's a medium heavy power moderate fast action. Its not ideal for anything but top water. Its the most versatile power, the action will allow u to do just about anything, not so fast that it pulls treble hooks free, not so slow that it impedes regular soft plastics. Brand I would consider would be Shimano, anything above the Convergence line has lifetime over the counter warranty. No shipping it back to the factory, just walk into a store and walk out with new rod.
  13. Your are a man of many interests. More like an enigma wrapped in mystery and surrounded by riddles Actually watching the last two now, read the books with my kids.

    Welcome aboard
  17. I buy every yard sale tackle box I find. One creek Chubb pad hopper will be worth it. Some Old original cranks can pay big money
  18. I've heard it said many times the 2 happiest days in a boat owner's life the day he buys it and the day he sells it!
  19. That is amazing, please take it easy until u heal. I think the hardest lesson I've ever had to learn is how to take it easy.
  20. Prayers sent, keep on fighting!
  21. When u say rock bass are u talking about redeyes or stripers. I'm assuming the panfish redeye. If shore bound a 6' medium power fast action spinning. Boat 7' medium power fast action spinning If you're talking striped bass then 7 medium heavy power fast action spinning. I like fishing live bait with a spinning set up
  22. Looks like you received some good news as well traveler! That's great. A friend once told me the definition of old is when things that aren't supposed to be stiff are and parts that are supposed to get stiff can't!
  23. Thanks fellas just got home. The doctor said it went better than planned.
  24. Thanks for all the prayers well wishes. Surgery went good, only have about a month recovery. So all in all went better than expected
  25. I would like to clarify or explain my suggestion. A do it all rod that will work for the examples the OP provided, exists but it will not excel at any technique. I suggested a MH MF being a Medium Heavy power and Moderate Fast action. Limber enough for trebles and stiff enough for plastics, within reason.
