How Do I Catch The Big Boys?
In one year my personal best largemouth went from 4 to 5 to 7 and finally 8.14. I fished every day that summer, I lost count of the numbers between the 4-5lb range. My pb smallmouth went from 3 to 4.02 the same year. The difference was time spent fishing, I logged more hours on the water that year than I typically do in five. To catch the big ones you have to be fishing. IMO nothing puts the odds in your favor than time on the water.

Preferred Curado, D Or E
FWIW the Chronarch E series has the frame of the Curado E.

Z-8 Nitro Or Basscat
How rough are you talking about? 3 foot chop or 8 footers?

Shine Up Gelcoat
I would strongly advise against sanding unless you have alot of experience. If you must use a super fine wet dry sandpaper and wet sand. The top coat is thin and is easily marred.

Strike King 10Xd....wow!
I saw a video here where an angler was catching 3-5 lb what he called "bull" Shad on a buzzbait. Lake Guntersville I believe.

Towing Bass Boat With 1991 Ford Ranger
Exactly, got to thinking the closer the rig you are towing is to the weight of the truck, the harder it is to stop. Additionally it becomes more difficult to control over all, it will feel like the boat is pushing you rather than you towing it. Downhill grades become more treacherous, etc. That being said, the truck may handle the boat fine, however, the experience of the driver is key too.

Towing Bass Boat With 1991 Ford Ranger
Going to depend on vehicle's towing capacity. Also does your truck have a long or short wheel base? Do you have any experience towing a trailer or boat? Alot of factors at play, regardless it will put alot of wear and tear on a truck that old.

The Absolute Best Bait Ever
Isn't this Uncle Honer? If so take everything with a grain of salt, he also recommended using WD 40 to clean and lube reels, right after fishing. For those who don't know WD40 actually traps water and in doing so causes rust, and lube break down. Never clean a gun with it either, I know the WD stand for water displacement, just doesn't do it.

How Much Has Your Boat Cost?
As I've seen posted here before the term boat is really an acronym for B. Break O Out A Another T Thousand

Oh crap, I bought a speed spin about a month ago, haven't caught a fish on it yet. I bought it for my crappie fishing.

The Absolute Best Bait Ever
My favorite lure to fish is either the RAGE Shad or buzzbait double prop. Best producer is soft plastic, senko, worm or naked t-rig craw. Big fish is a jig hands down. Although I must admit that my 3 largest largemouth have all come on a buzz, mainly because I love throwing one.

Spinnerbait/crankbait Combo
Yeah, whatever u do stay away from the black max, really the entire max line of reels from Abu. I like Abu reels, but would not have a max or similar reel if u gave it to me they have a graphite frame and will flex. IMO all baitcasting reels should have at minimum an aluminum frame, anything else and you are wasting your money.

Explosions At The Boston Marathon Finish Line
Benjamin Franklin said (paraphrasing) "Those who would trade their personal liberties for 'security' deserve neither". Boston, and now the poison being mailed to leaders really has me thinking. There is allot of social tension in our country. I'm sure most ppl here are aware of Thomas Jefferson's famous "Tree of Liberty". I see references to it often, the bonds that hold us together as a country are strained, I hope and pray that the events are not connected, but at the end of the day I won't be surprised if they are.

Explosions At The Boston Marathon Finish Line
Officially, right now, yes. I don't believe the investigators ever meant to have that released, and that's why it was later recanted. Just like the suspect that was a suspect, then wasn't and the last I checked was again. As the facts that will be released come I think that the other devices will be confirmed. My daughter's roommate was evacuated twice, first time because the store she worked at was part of the crime scene, second because anot her device was found outside the building she was evacuated to. Investigators IMO never want all the facts released until after those responsible are apprehended and prosecuted, and sometimes not even then. Like LongMike has already posted I wouldn't be surprised if this turns out to be "homegrown" terrorist.

What Reel Would Feel And Look Good On..
Go to the Shimano website, they have a feature there to compare the reels side by side. On another note, I once had a Curado E on a Mojo rod, purple and green, nicknamed the Joker.

Reel Grease
Hot sauce grease breaks down quickly, attracts dirt like a magnet, stays on everything but the gears. Alot of reel smiths will not use it. The oil is good though if u have hybrid bearings.

Explosions At The Boston Marathon Finish Line
Talked to my daughter again she is finally home Brockton, south of Boston, she works in the city. Her roomie works at a Starbucks, the blast blew the widows out. She ended up being evacuated twice. They're a little shook up but fine.

Driving A Bass Boat In Rough Water
That's exactly how I broke mine.I really wish AJ would chime in. we are both retired US Coast Guard more importantly cox'n's, and have seen our share of rough water. There is no direct correct answer to the question, way to many variables. One thing is for sure do not attempt to time wind driven waves, a gust of wind throws the timing and sometimes direction of the waves off. Bass boats are not designed or built for rough water. The main points here are valid slow down, bow up a little, too much and a rogue can flip it, not enough and your swamped. Its a tricky thing that unfortunately only experience teaches. Take a look at my Avatar, that particular boat had a top speed of around 11 knots. The waves threw it around like a toy, be extremely careful on rough water.

Fish Finder Advice
With color in mind, what's more important color or DI? Considering a limited budget which is the must have?
