  1. Well after reading info on here and a lot of thinking I have decided on the following items. Shimano Stradic C14F 2500 Shimano 6' 8" M/XF Crucial rod or St Croix LTB 6' 9" ML/XF rod Really leaning toward the Crucial rod, this setup is amazingly light and well balanced. Will be using Seaguar InvizX in 8lbs test. Later,
  2. Thoughts and prayers are with you and your dad.
  3. Looking for a setup to throw 1/16oz and above baits. What do you prefer, bait caster or spinning reels? What rods and reels do you suggest? Never thrown anything like this, but am looking to start throwing some finesse type baits. Price range is around $280 for reel and $250 or so for the rod. Could go less on the reel and more on the rod, or vice versa. Thanks,
  4. I have this reel and it is absolutely amazing! Later,
  5. Even after their meltdown in the playoffs last year I am still a die hard BRUINS fan!! I am hoping they make up for last years meltdown this year!! Later,
  6. Team looks pretty darn good. Can't wait till the season gets under way. Lucky me picked 2 good defenses and wouldn't you know they both have the same bye week!!! Oh well, cross that bridge in the 8th week.lol Later,
  7. I like the Berkley Heavy weight fat sinking worm and the YUM Dingers. Later,
  8. Should be able to get a St Croix Mojo Bass and a Citica right at your price range. If you look in the flea market section you may be able to get a better rod and reel for the same price. Later,
  9. Falcon Cara T7s, under $200 and lifetime warranty. Later,
  10. Sounds like I will have to order some and try it out. Somebody on here has to have tries it? Later,
  11. I am curious to if the Fuego is worth the extra money over the Advantage spinning reel? Also has anyone tried the Fuego spinning rods? Thanks,
  12. Yes, it does make a significant upgrade when pressure is applied, the drag slips smoothly instead of studdering. Thanks,
  13. Might have to take a look at these. My local tackle shop has them on sale for 20% off. Later,
  14. I always use the Palomar knot, just be sure to moisten it really well before pulling it tight. Later,
  15. So I tried out the CXX yesterday, very disappointed. Caught a small 2lbs lmb on a 1/4oz swim jig and on the hook set, very slight movement the line snapped and made a horrible pop sound. So I am done with P-Line. Later,
  16. Does the drag upgrade make a significant difference? Thanks,
  17. A local pro here told me to use a 1/4oz scrounger long bill head with a 4inch or 5inch fluke. He also showed me to use a white fluke and use different colored sharpies to give it different looks. He said to use a nice slow retrive. Later,
  18. I got some CX amd it was HORRIBLE! Switched to some CXX will see how it does tomorrow. The CX would break just by looking at it.lol Later,
  19. Great info guys, thanks. Going to try a couple out. Thanks,
  20. So how does the Zillion actually handle weight under 3/8oz? Specifically like a 1/4oz swim jig? Have a chance to pick up a new one for fairly cheap and am wondering if it will be able to handle it. Thanks,
  21. I have both reels and honestly the Premier is a much superior reel. Lighter, smoother and the drag is outstanding. Later,
  22. I like the ACS reel seat, to me it is very comfortable. Later,
  23. I have Cara T7s and St Croix LTBs and I love them all. They are all extremely nice. LTBs tip heavy, I haven't experienced that all, to me they balance quite well, so does the Cara T7. They both look very nice as well. Later,
