Rod and Reel Choices, 1/16oz and up
Well after reading info on here and a lot of thinking I have decided on the following items. Shimano Stradic C14F 2500 Shimano 6' 8" M/XF Crucial rod or St Croix LTB 6' 9" ML/XF rod Really leaning toward the Crucial rod, this setup is amazingly light and well balanced. Will be using Seaguar InvizX in 8lbs test. Later,

Rod and Reel Choices, 1/16oz and up
Looking for a setup to throw 1/16oz and above baits. What do you prefer, bait caster or spinning reels? What rods and reels do you suggest? Never thrown anything like this, but am looking to start throwing some finesse type baits. Price range is around $280 for reel and $250 or so for the rod. Could go less on the reel and more on the rod, or vice versa. Thanks,

Need advice on rod/reel combo, under $225, for soft plastics
Should be able to get a St Croix Mojo Bass and a Citica right at your price range. If you look in the flea market section you may be able to get a better rod and reel for the same price. Later,

Daiwa Spinning Reels
I am curious to if the Fuego is worth the extra money over the Advantage spinning reel? Also has anyone tried the Fuego spinning rods? Thanks,

Upgrade parts for Fuego
Yes, it does make a significant upgrade when pressure is applied, the drag slips smoothly instead of studdering. Thanks,

Done with CX
So I tried out the CXX yesterday, very disappointed. Caught a small 2lbs lmb on a 1/4oz swim jig and on the hook set, very slight movement the line snapped and made a horrible pop sound. So I am done with P-Line. Later,

need help using a fluke
A local pro here told me to use a 1/4oz scrounger long bill head with a 4inch or 5inch fluke. He also showed me to use a white fluke and use different colored sharpies to give it different looks. He said to use a nice slow retrive. Later,

Daiwa Zillion BC, Weights under 3/8oz
So how does the Zillion actually handle weight under 3/8oz? Specifically like a 1/4oz swim jig? Have a chance to pick up a new one for fairly cheap and am wondering if it will be able to handle it. Thanks,

2010 revo premier vs stx
I have both reels and honestly the Premier is a much superior reel. Lighter, smoother and the drag is outstanding. Later,

Falcon Cara T7 vs. St. Croix Tournament vs. Dobyns Champion vs. Other
I have Cara T7s and St Croix LTBs and I love them all. They are all extremely nice. LTBs tip heavy, I haven't experienced that all, to me they balance quite well, so does the Cara T7. They both look very nice as well. Later,
