So tie the line to the "real" spool, then do one rotation, then put the tape over that? And does the whole thing need to be covered in ape, or just a small section?

If i dont have any mono, will the tape by itself be good. I've been using my baitcaster with braided and no backing, and the only problem I've had is my lure completley stopping in the air (with no backlash to fix), and the line snapping. Is no backing my problem? I've been using 8lb braid, but i took it off for 30lb Powerpro

I just got some Powerpro, I've used it once, and I think its very good and i like it better than my old SpiderWire Stealth.

K, so i got a new spool of 40lb Powerpro braided line. I've been hearing that people soak their line in hot water for 5 minutes before spooling it on. Does anyone have any advice on what to do, or just not do anything at all. (I dont have any of that line treatment stuff)

KK, does the weight of the line also help with distance? Like the heavier the line, the farther the cast?

So some of my buddies have been using these the last few fishing trips- (the terminator red series spinnerbait)- we've been on, and i've been using Strike King spinnerbaits for a while. Does anyone have any expirience with these, and should i go buy a couple of them? Or just Terminator in general as a company

Yeah i agree with the post above me, when you know where they are, accuracy is much more important than distance. 8-)

Baitcaster by far, as long as you're good with it.

I'd try just a tighter grip, it seems to paralyze them, but if your already holding them tight i dont know if you should squeeze really hard.

Ahh thanks you. Would it have anything to do with the age of the line. I got it at Gander Mountain, but i don't know how much line they move.

Ok two questions now. (both probably really dumb) 1. Whats is Diggin in? 2. What does the 6/20 mean?

Yeah it did backlash each time it flew off, but both casts were like the others i'd been doing, with no extra effort or anything that usually causes backlash for me.

Alright, i just got back home from a weekend fishing up north. I got a new baitcaster for the trip and put 8lb test braided SpiderWire moss green. After a while fishing the first day, i casted it and the line broke about 5 yards down from my spinnderbait. I had only some minor (1 major :-/ ) backlash casts. So i fixed it and fished the rest of the day. The next day after about an hour and a half of fishing, the same exact thing happened! The line snapped about 5 yards down from my lure. I am relativley new to baitcasters so i was pretty mad because it never happened with my spinning setup. Any obvious solutions?
