Eastern Ma & New England Area Fishing Reports
Another look today. Sawdy, Stafford, S Watuppa are still frozen shore to shore except for the areas where culverts drain from the roadways. But it has to be thin.

Arthritis
Unfortunately few doctors do not understand the link between diet and disease and those that do wont say anything because they dont want to loose their jobs, or want your money etc. The average doctor has 2 hours or less of studies in nutrition and those 2 credit hours they got in school were likely from a professor that works for Kraft, Dole, Dannon etc all large corporations which have only one agenda in mind and that is to make $$$. So they will say whatever they want and put out false studies about nutrition etc. And you lost me with those two paragraphs, the first in particular. I've heard all about the evil, greedy doctors. Nah, they don't care about your health. They just want your money. And all the nurses and office staff who should know better are complicit in the conspiracy. It's one big evil empire. Don't believe it? Just ask Kevin Trudeau.

Eastern Ma & New England Area Fishing Reports
I'm starting to see some area of open water on local ponds. Fifty degrees with rain tomorrow should remove a lot of the ice, hopefully most/all of it.

New Deck
Baltic Birch plywood. An acceptable alternative to the expensive marine grade plywood. The only downside is that it comes in 5' by 5' panels. http://www.woodworkerssource.com/blog/tips-tricks/your-ultimate-guide-to-baltic-birch-plywood-why-its-better-when-to-use-it/

Boat Insurance "must Haves"?
You should protect yourself and others with the same basic coverage you have on an automobile such as property damage, bodily injury, etc. You should also carry some type of coverage to pay all but the deductible if you damage your own boat. You might also consider coverage in case you need a towing service. I don't know how it compares to getting towing insurance from a company like Sea Tow. Your agent should have the knowledge to put an insurance package together that will suit your needs and budget. He should be able to walk you through the process, line by line.

This Fool The Child
Now now, go easy on Raider. Most of his posts have no point. He posts on here because he loves us, or because it's the only place he can get people to interact with him. I post, you decide.

2015 Unofficial Road Trip (Also Known As The Baked Potato Classic)
It sure looks like a great place to fish, with something for everyone from the shallow slop to deeper structure, and just about every bottom composition in the book. As for the rain, I love fishing on rainy days for a couple of reasons. First, there is a lot less boat traffic, recreational in particular. And second, the sound of the rain on water has to mask any unusual noise which might startle spooky fish. The "short guy" looks very familiar for some reason. We may have fished together in another life, or maybe in this one.

How can you put a price on "love"?

Hey, if that's what "floats your boat" (pun intended), go for it. You have my blessing.

I think you're correct. One pineapple per plant. Does that make them not a fruit?

Pears, peaches, pineapples.

Well, what is the answer, a grapefruit, a banana,? But, in this case, it doesn't appear that the orange has fallen very far from the tree.

What Type Of Lubricant/grease For Tongue Trailer Jack Shaft And Gears?
I'd say most any water resistant grease will work. The jack is susceptible to immersion at some ramps. When it's raining, it's going to get doused with spray from the road. And, in northern climes it can get a good dose of road salt. When your rig is disconnected from your tow vehicle, put a mark using a Sharpie, or a wrap a piece of masking tape around the shaft. Then, hook the rig up to your tow vehicle and when the jack is stowed in the horizontal position, fully extend it. Clean and grease the shaft above the mark. No need to grease what only retracts into the outer tube when you stow it for traveling. Some grease may "travel" to the exposed section when you stow it, but that can be easily wiped off with a rag when you see it.

If I may be permitted a pun. I know, a pun is the lowest form of humor. But here goes. Hootie, your weekend fell apart because it was a weak end.

What's Up With This?
From time to time we'll get a phone call, and the caller id will show our number, or my name. Anyone know what's going on with this? Scam? Phishing? Telemarketing?

Eastern Ma & New England Area Fishing Reports
I was hoping to get out before taking a couple of weeks off to fish down south, but the weather does not look promising. My departure is less than three weeks away, so I'll be depending on info from you guys when I get back.

Rain Gear.
Helly Hanson, now there's a name from the past. They were the best once upon a time, now it seems to be Grundens or Guy Cotton for the commercial guys around here. HH appears to have moved their emphasis to the yachting, recreational market. At the end of my lobstering career I preferred Dierdrikson (sp?). They had two weights which I used. One in the cool/cold weather and a much lighter but durable warm weather product.
