  1. I just moved to Raleigh NC and was hoping some one can tell me a couple decent shore fishing spots. I use llures only and will not have my boat here until spring so I am stuck on shore. Please, any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Mike S
  2. I have lived outside Lancaster, in Lancaster County and am lucky to have the river flow about 5 miles from me. In my opinion the better living for the money is NW Lancaster County. Very little crime and petty stuff. Harrisburg city in my opinion is not the greatest place as is none of the other cities. Try if possible to live in one of the little towns and be sure to check the school systems if you have kids. Certain districts are very bottomline as far as ratings. Good Luck. MikeS
  3. Brian, Save some bass for me, I'll be down there next week to see what I can do. Don't know what day but it will be late next week. Mike S
  4. Rocky Gorge and Tridelhia Reserviors in Maryland have them. Used to catch them in the late 90's and early 2000's.
  5. Do you need permits to fish and launch boats in Liberty, Loch Raven, and Prettyboy Reserviors? Give me your opinions as to time of year and whether they are worth fishing. Thanks. MikeS
  6. Brian & sean, Thank you for the effort on the trolling motor matter. I was shocked when I read it but now I can add it to my list of lakes to hit. I may not make it to the Potomac in April because I have at least 4 lakes I want to hit now. Thanks for all your help. MikeS
  7. Is it true that you can only use a maximum 33lb thrust trolling motor at Cunningham Falls? I know there are no gas motors allowed but the website I looked at said no electric motor over 33 lb thrust or 1HP. Please let me know because this lake is definately on my list. And by the way, Thanks for all the responses and information. I really appreciate it. MikeS
  8. Thanks for all the input and advice. If I do go on the potomac it will be very close to shore, I'll be busting the banks so to speak, but I mainly want to hit the creeks and creekmouths. Black Hills sounds nice, I'll definately hit there. Thanks for the help. MikeS
  9. I will be in the Central MD area. To get to the Potomac I will use the Fort Washington Ramp. I also am going to try Rocky Gorge and Tridelphia Reserviors. Are there any other places that is recommended? Thanks, MikeS
  10. Can anyone tell me some good places to fish for bass in Maryland at the end of April? I will be coming from PA. with a 14' jon boat and a 7.5 HP motor. looking for some creeks off the Potomac and some good lake fishing. MikeS
  11. Can anyone give any tips for Kerr Reservior in April? Staying at Cripple Creek Fish Camp on the Virginia side. Fishing on 4-22-09 thru 4-25-09. Any particular creeks, coves, or areas I should look for? Any help is greatly appreciated. MikeS
  12. Lancaster area-fish the Susky, Octoraro Reservior, Muddy Run (both lakes), Marsh Creek, Speedwell Forge, Marburg, and a few others. Anyone want to get together sometime give me a shout. I have a 14' jon with a 7.5 HP. MikeS
  13. Great Deal! I have the same motor 1978 7.5 HP Merc. for my 14' jon boat and it moves right along with no problems. make sure you have some weight in the front of the boat because that motor will lift the front up high. MikeS
  14. What do you mean when you say "fog it"?
