  1. I was just at the website and looking at reels that are discontinued this list show the spinning reels they don't repair anymore. The above reel is in the bold......... From the website....
  2. Not until you called it a pole..... None of those baits are bass baits, I don't think it is so much were your fishing or what system (rod/reel) you are using, but the baits sure don't fit the bass picture.... There are tons of well written articles in the front of this site (I know I spent a week reading them) on techniques, baits, systems, etc. that you (if your serious) need to be reading, look at the top of the forums for Fishing Articles. Oh btw for god sakes they are fishing rods NOT POLES! Good Luck....
  3. Yup answering a question with a question, that will get you the answer for sure.....
  4. Check this out....Rod Storage
  5. Wow Reply #5 was straight from the horses mouth.....
  6. That will depend on the measurement at the point on the blank were you want to place it (the seat), from what I read in the linked site it is sized as a ECSM-17 or a 17mm id.
  7. Like my close friend RM would say... Should have put a NOTA (None Of The Above) don't and never will use a house brand reel... Tight Lines!!!
  8. Being as this thread is now a few days old. The original post reads to me like the line could have been wrapped around the tip, braided lines tend to do that on a cast, or the line might be caught in the line roller. The hardloy guides the rod/s come with hold up to braided lines just fine.. Just a couple of thoughts.. Good luck.....

  11. Nice story but the rod had nothing to do with it. Bass-Brat,Pray tell then, just what is the moral of MY story? Thanks MichiganFisherman, My point to you was don't worry about what brand is on the reel or the rod. It has to be the confidence you have gained from a combo/setup and the knowledge you have about the body or bodies of water you fish. It all can be done on an old can and string if it has to. Having fun it what it is all about...
  12. true story. I was out over the weekend at a private pond. I'm fishing with custom rigs that a friend wanted me to field test. Using the best of it all and the owners son walks up to me with an ugly stick and spinning reels. He said to me nice gear, but i'll bet I get a fish in les than 15 min. I said sure your on, he reaches into a baggie and pulls out a slice of hot dog, places it on the hook, tosses it out I start counting.. 3min into it he's reeling in a 17" bass. The only thing I can harvest from all this is it isn't the (name or the price) of the gear, it's the confidence in the gear and the knowledge of the body of water. Having fun is what it's all about....
