  1. Thanks for the response,This creek is gin clear, that may be our problem! Both of the boys are kinda clumsy at "wading" around and we probably spooked the bigguns.I have a small arsenal of 3" berkley grubs, and several spooks and skitter pops-(my favs for ponds)... will these work well?
  2. Hello everyone, I first have to say kudos to the forum, what a wealth of knowledge. As a new member I am still trying to soak up all there is to offer here.I have a question about creek, not river fishing for smallies. My two older boys 12&7 and myself recently waded through Sugar Creek (Crawfordsville,Indiana), using beetle spins and Kelley plowboys.Although we had caught 30 or so smallies none were bigger than a 20 ounce coke bottle? This creek as I am told holds plenty of big fish...HOW DO WE CATCH THEM! I myself am a LMB guy and know absolutely nothing about SMB.Looking for sugg. on lures, and locations (deep or shallow, weeds, trees, points) and anything else we might need since the boys now want to keep going.Reading the post from Crestliner2008 in regards to smallie newbie,I am wondering is this my answer also? Thanks in advance, -John
  3. Great job on your rebuild, looks like it will last a long time. :oThanks for sharing it will help me with my upcoming project for winter!
  4. I also have a jon boat that suffered the same problem. My solution was to use a product called "Tite Grip" duct seal. This is bought from any HVAC supply store for about 15 bucks. Although it's made for ductwork it is superb for our situation,it holds well and stays somewhat plyable,I used it 4 years ago and the boat still has not leaked 8-)
