  1. The Quantum Tour PT rods do have issues with the rings falling out on the tip guide. Simple fix is to just replace the guide. I contacted Quantum about this issue and they do not have replacement parts for there rods. I was told to send the rod in under warranty. I said for a stinking tip guide, the cost of shipping is more then a tip guide. No thanks I'll fix it myself and steer clear of buying Quantum Tour PT rods in the future. Dam shame for the rods themselves are actually pretty good rods. Just another case of a rod company using cheap hardware to make a extra buck.
  2. If I am not mistaken, I believe the Mag Bass has SIC guides while the other GLX has recoil guides. If this is the case I would go for the SIC guides if you use braided line. Mag Bass GLX Casting 844C 7' Heavy is the best worm/jig rod I have ever used and it also doubles as a pretty good frog rod also. Whatever the case, congrats on picking up a great sponsor.
  3. I have a spool on the way with the Tour PT burner I just purchased from Cabelas. I love Stren Super Braid so I am hoping Sonic will be just as good if not better. Will see in a few days.
  4. I have been having the same issues for the last two weeks and tonight I finally found an answer. I tied on a lure that's been in my tackle box for at least 10 years, a Rapala Countdown Minnow in Silver. I would cast a little past where I spotted the action, let it sink a couple of feet and then start reeling back. Caught 6 bass in a hour where as I have been lucky to get one strike since the bass started the Fall minnow feast a couple weeks ago here.
