Koppers Live Target Bait Ball Crankbaits
I was just wondering if anyone out there has had the same problem I've had with the bait balls. I've used them with some success, mostly reeling and then stopping for a second. My problem has been they seem to constantly fill up with water! They have no cracks or holes but I've had three of them leak. I'm on my 4th one now and hope Koppers will replace the ones I've had leak on me. Look forward to hearing from some with similar problems.

Checked Out The St Croix Mojo & LTB Rods Today &....
Got me a mojo b/c and love it. Says it's for topwater and jerks I think, but I've used it for just about anything. Funny thing, never had a fish ask me where any of my equipment was made. Once I landed them, they just surrendered to whatever I happened to be using. Hey, if it feels good, works good, why not just use it??

Mike Iaconelli
I LIKE MIKE! You can tell he's passionate about his fishing. Oh that we all could love our jobs as much as he does. Let us not judge our fellow brothers of the fishing fraternity. Perhaps we just resent the fact we're not quite as good, nor do we get paid the big bucks, or we're just jealous. No matter what is said about him, it can't be denied he's awfully good at what he does. JMHO

Check out the jon conversion....
Looks great and really clean. Just wonder how easy it would be to tip over??? What's a rig like that cost finished?

Burner Spinnerbait
Watched KVD catch a ton of fish on 'em, so broke down and bought a couple. Usually don't fall for hype, but needed something to run fast and shallow. First day I used them caught a couple between 3-4 lbs. and was sold on them. Have caught fish with them consistently when situation called for them. JMO, but I think our attitude and confidence in the bait we're using has as much to do with it as the bait itself. Fish have seemed to hook larger fish too! Happy hits!

Love those bass pro extremes
Somehow I've wound up with 4 or 5 of them. I've found them to be more than adequate and at $39 ea. they're a "reel" bargain! Also like their service as they've fixed mine for free whenever I've had a problem. Know there are fancier ones out there with more bells and whistles and probably more durability, but for the average fisherman I'd have to say they will more than do the job. JMO! Good Fishing!

My Possible New Boat
I'd give some thought to getting a stronger trolling motor and don't skimp on the battery. I had a rig just like that and wound up getting a 50# to put on it and it made all the difference. It would take me so long to get to the other end of the lake and same on return trip, only battery would be barely turning prop! I'd also consider getting the 10 ft. model, as the 8' is really short! I'd also consider find a used aluminum john boat. You can do a heckuva lot with one of them. JMO. Good luck and know you'll enjoy it!

BPS Extreme Reel Opinions..
Some folks have had problems with BPS extremes, but, I've got 4 of them and never had a problem. Bought an older one on Ebay and it had some drag issues, so I sent it to their reel service center and they repaired it gratus! Can't beat the price and should provide good service.

WESTPOINT LAKE GA
West Point is one of the best lakes in the area and full of fish. It's one of the few that doesn't have wall to wall houses on it as they are limiting lakeside homes. Some of the best fishing is on the south end of the lake up some of the creeks. Never been when we haven't caught fish. It doesn't have an abundance of of largemouths as the spot population has taken over, but it is full of nice spots, hybrids, stripes, crappie and catfish. You can get a map at Highland Marina with "hotspots"already marked, but as you might imagine, those places have been beaten to a froth. It has lots of good points, islands, humps, channels, etc. Most of our fish come off small plastics, but also catch a lot on cranks, rattletraps, etc. You can also catch them on topwater in early am and late pm. If you see the birds, you'll find the fish. Just take your time and fish creeks, points, etc., and you'll find the fish. Good Luck!

Mojo bass rods.
Got the 6'6" topwater/jerk bait rod and love it. Use it for just about everything now. Really like it it's light weight and action and think its a great rod for the money.

St. Croix???
I recently purchased a Premier spinning rod and a Mojo baitcaster and love them both, although I am really partial to the Mojo. Just love the light weight and the ability to cast just about anything with. Mine says its for cranks and jerk baits, but I've used it for just about everything and it makes for enjoyable fishing. Both rods seem to me to be very good value and perform flawlessly.
