  2. i have been at pleasant hill lake and the conditions have been almost perfect, but yesterday the wind was out of the north and pretty windy, any other day has been picture perfect, but no fish
  3. i know it is fall and the fish are on the move looking for a last good meal for the year, but i can't get a bite. i throw jigs, senkos, crankbaits, and even went to the last resort the twister tail jig. i used to be able to catch anything with that even a crappie while bass fishing not anymore. i can hammer the fish during the summer on a 95 degree day with the sun in your eyes but not now when the fishing is supposed to be decent. once again i realize the fish may be on the move but not even one little 10 in largemouth has been hooked by me any advice would be greatly appreciated.
  4. the past few times i have been smallie fishing i have not grabbed a single one. i have been throwing my go to jig the hula grub green pumpkin in color that always seems to grab one even if it is ten inches in size. nothing seems to work crank baits, jigs, tubes, nothing a few largemouth, but no smallies? what do you guys think or suggest?
  5. i normally use good ol rooster tails and panter martins normally watermelon in color and depending on the day silver or gold spinners works great for catching smallies and trout if they are present
  6. hands down best bait invented i hook mine on a 1/4 oz weedless jig head and fish it off of the bottom and constantly shake the rod it is hardly setting still and works like a charm green pumpkin and watermelon with black flakes are my tops

  11. Tonight i was fishing, the conditions were perfect and the bass were teaming bait fish i tried throwing anything possible that would resemble the bait fish and didnt even get a bite. Is it possible to catch them with lures during these times or are they too focused on the "live bait"?
  12. for ohio crappie i use chartreuse no other color i fish in the mohican area i use 1/8 jig heads and sometimes lighter weight. the longer you can let it drop the better. if you can look for powerbait tournament strength walleye grubs the two inch size those work wonders the only color and brand i use
  13. ok thanks a lot
  14. Has anyone fished Alum Creek Lake for smallies? I have been there three times and havent caught that many. The first time my cousin and i caught about 8 decent sized ones about 2-3 lbs. That was back in August. Just wondering if anyone has had good luck since then, i talked to someone that said the lake can be feast or famine.
  15. Oh ya that thing will run for a long time if you keep up with oil and filters. I drive a 99 at work with over 200k on it and pull a 12,000 pound trailer and it doesnt seem to have any trouble, it also is a two wheel drive.
  16. Just wondering what everyone uses for colors with their soft plastics. The only color i realy use is green pumpkin and didnt know if there were any other popular colors. Thanks.
  17. Are there any bass clubs in or around the Mohican area?
