  1. Welcome to the best site on the net!
  2. Never seen his show, but ive seen some impressive stringers from his early tournys in the 1950's. I believe he was the first tv "superstar" fisherman.
  3. Nope, not for me, but I listen to traffic, music and industrial noise all day every day. (not two mention the noise generated by two teen-agers in the house). So I prefer to soothing sounds of nature, I want to forget the crazy world I inhabit, and experience the Natural World. (of course im often on man made lakes!)
  4. Welcome, to you and your new addition!

  9. No, it is still frozen, but the edges were liquid last weekend! 3 More weeks and ill be fishing open water!
  10. I might be in the minority here, but for pike I use 80 lb power pro braid for leaders. Ive never had one get through it, maybe Im just lucky though???!!??
  11. Well, this weekend im going out for cats on the Fox River in Elgin, Il, the water is still cold, and I know people catch smallies there in spring summer and fall. I was thinking I would try to grab a smallie or two while I am out. Its going to be 55 degrees or so, and Im not sure of the water temp. Is it likely, or possible to catch smallies in this northern climate this time of year, and what type of lure would be recomended? I will ASSUME that it needs to be a SLOW presentaion. Any tips would be greatly appriciated. Thank you. Oh yeah, I am typically a LM fisherman, very little experience with Bronzebacks.
  12. As goofy as it sounds, put a wanted ad on craigslist, ive picked up some specific stuff i wanted on that site.
  13. Ive never seen charlie moore, but i have to say, that Mike from city limits irritates me to no end, so thats my vote for worst. Not that anyone asked.
  14. My cousins and I chartered a boat for salmon out of Lake Michigan, the cost was 600 for a full day. There was 6 of us, and due to low fish count, the guide, who did owns the service, gave us 6 extra hours to catch a limit. He felt bad, and wanted us to enjoy our time on the water. We had 8 ft average swells, and broke two of his deck chairs. This guy went above and beyond to give us a good day, and we tipped him 200. Unusual trip, but at the end of the day, the extra money was well worth it. I almost feel like we gyped the poor guy.
  15. You know, maybe its wrong to want people to get hurt, but I cant help but wish these kids would have suffered some type of injury. When I was a kid, I did alot of stupid things, however, this shows a blatant disrespect for private property. This is sickening to me. >
