  2. I dont get them often, but the walleye I have caught are all on Live minnows, Crankbaits, and I got this 20 incher on a booyah boogie bait. I was very suprised with this little guy.
  3. Being a night-owl, I had to go with evening myself. Plus my best fish seem to always grab my hook just after nightfall.
  4. Done, I almost wish I could have typed an explaination for every question.
  5. Id have to read up on the stuff, but look at a product called Polyseamseal. Ive used it on numerous "moist" locations, such as bathrooms and sauna rooms. As a disclaimer though...Im a Contractor, not a Structural engineer! ;D
  6. Welcome!
  7. Welcome to "The Resource of all Resources"!
  8. It is legal in Illinois, but I would check your states regs. Thanks Bilgerat, I should have added that disclaimer myself..... :-[

  10. I cant really answer on color selction, but I fish swim jigs a few different ways. Lately, with a slow bite, Ive been putting an orange/green yum craw on a 3/8 oz natural green jig. Ive found on my particular lake, 2 or 3 sharp, short jerks on the rod, followed by a pause, seems to imitate a crawdad enough to fool fish into a solid hit. When im imparting action on the rod, however, Ive not been "hopping" the jig, but keeping the rod paralell to the water, to make it seem like the craw is "dashing" in and out of weed cover. Thats just right now though. Often times (usually in warmer weather) I will "hop" the jig and trailer up through the weeds to get the attention of bass holding above any weed cover. often times the bass will attack the jig on the fall following a hop. Also, you can always try pitching and flipping the jigs adjacent to the standing timber and stumps. Good luck with a fun technique.
  11. most of the time i let it fall also.
  12. gatorade, beef jerky, and copenhagen
  13. I would have to go with yellow perch. I am, however, curious if anyone has ever compared Land locked FW Stripers to their SW counterparts. I cant think of a better fish to eat than fresh caught Striped bass off the coast of Massachusetts.... How does the FW version taste?
  14. Two words for ya. "live bluegill"

  18. I dont like it for topwaters, because it sinks like the titanic. Other thatn that, I like it alot. I have noticed, however, that abbrasion has been a problem. Ive really only used vanish, so i cant speak of the other brands.
  19. Wow, cool article. Thanks Glenn.
  20. I went with June, there is just not a better month to be outside, its warm, but not to warm. Also, that is when the nights start to get comfortable round these parts. However, not to sound cliche, I have to agree with the general concensus that any time on the water is welcome and appriciated.
  21. Nice fish cambridge, give me a shout if you venture up to the greater chicagoland area, Me and Izzy will get you on some good waters.
  22. Welcome to the intro section? ;D
