As I read this thread, I really start to hate living in Illinois. Anyway, one day on Deep Quarry, I had two over 4#s. And once on clear lake in mazonia I had one over 4#s. Boogiebaits and spinners got mine.

Don't forget, don't "bow" to the fish when setting the hook, maintain line tension!!

I started with crawlers and minnows. I dont see myself using those again, except for catfish.....
