  1. I too am getting "long in the tooth" and the weight factor is a issue. That's what drew me to Kevlar. Am looking at the Aurora as they are said to be a all around canoe (fishing, river running) that handles well. We have a small river near by (Tobacco River) that my son might enjoy running on his visits from the Navy, and I like to fish the high mountain lakes. Had a bit of sticker shock when I saw the price, these are "spendy" canoes, but very well made from what I hear.... Got myself about 98% convinced
  2. Am considering buying a we-no-nah canoe made out of Kevlar. Any opinions on this manufacturer and Kevlar in general ?

  6. Livin a life long dream in the Rocky Mountains. Am retired, got a pole and a canoe. Even got some bass near by. 20 acres, a log cabin and a fire pit in the front yard... Life is good.
  7. We snag salmon until mid Nov.
  8. Am now living in Montana but even being this far away I heard there was a world record bass caught out of on of those lakes, near Escondito I think. The guy took a picture and released it (??????) so it is supposed to still be there. Big Florida bass down there.

  10. Have fished it. Had better luck around the island.
  11. Head south, San Diego Lakes. Big fish (a world record in one of them-bass). Otay, Henshaw, there's a bunch !
  12. Not Pacific, but Northwest works. N/W Montana and we got fish !
  13. Have fished Casitas, some big fish. Went with a friend and hooked a 5 pounder while he caught a 11 pounder off a submerged hump near the center of the lake.
  14. Return it, they stand behinf their gear.
