  1. Yeah Dramer, it is by the music and arts place. I did swing by after the comcast guy mentioned it to see where it was but wasn't sure where to park. I did see someone fishing. From what I could see from the truck, there didn't appear to be a lot of shoreline to stand.
  2. That's too funny. Had an issue with the internet yesterday and the comcast guy was telling me about this place. So queation for you, where can you park to fish there?
  3. Wait til you have one go between your legs with those big trebles just waiting to catch some extra flesh. Ya might think twice about being that deep!
  4. I just saw this the other day, hadn't had the chance to post about it. I can't believe that fish was only 26"! That must've been one FAT fish! LOL! Sorry Ken, between the contractor job I took on and looking for a full time position, I haven't been to Black Hills enough lately to even know they've drawn it down any. Thanks for chiming in Brian! And I agree, that it does seem early for the fall draw down.
  5. I haven't tried putting the boat in there but I know there are tourneys held around Brunswuck. I would think its probably about rhe same type of water that's in the Snyder's/Taylor's areas so if you take.tour time and read the water, I'd think you'd be ok. Hopefully others can chime in and give tou more feedback.
  6. Welcome to THE boards Scrm3! Hope the fishing went well at dam 4! Let us know how you did! Hope the boater traffic wasn't bad. The cruiser boats don't have a lot of regard for smaller vessels.
  7. Well start a PA thread ya leech! LOL! Good one SPEED!
  8. There's a very good possibility there are still tigers from the 2004 & 2005 classes still haunting your waters. The average life span for tigers is less than the pure strains but still live about 8 to 10 years. Can't recall the growth rates off the top of my head anymore but it would more than likely be a mid-40's size beast. Just an educated guess though. Its been YEARS since I've tangled with a tiger in a lake. Can't recall their fighting habits all too well anymore. :-/
  9. Awesome! Congrats MARsSPEED!
  10. How big was the swirl? Keep in mind, there are tigers in thete. Ya could've had your first encounter with one.
  11. I think we've all lost some good ones over time. As spriros said, its what keeps us coming back for more! I do use braid for a couple techniques but not all. Froggin and flippin and pitchin in heavy cover are the 2 I use more often. The other that comes to mind is throwin jerkbaits for smallies in areas I know to hold walleye as well. I do compensate for the braid by using a softer rod so I don't pull the hooks out. What techniques are you considering switching over to braid?
  12. Very cool Slyr! Maybe some weekend we can take both the kids out somewhere!
  13. Hey MARsSPEED, How's the grass at middletown? Is it choked out yet? Its been a while since I've been over there.
  14. Managed a short outing this morning. With not a lot of time, I popped over to culler lake. Made a good decision. About 9:30, I felt a tick amd the rod got HEAVY! At the end of a good fight, I landed a 20 inch, 5 pounder on a Sweet Beaver loaded up with Mega Strike! Will post a puc as soon as I pull it from the camera.
  15. I've been fortunate to have tangled with some true MONSTER skis but still find myself wanting to fish for bass more.
  16. Hey Tuck, I've been doing the program for several years now. It's as easy as it sounds. I typically take a pic of me holding the fish as well as one with a tape measure showing the length and one with the girth. Just email the pics with a brief summary of your outing and your address and you're good to go! If you have any questions, let me know.
  17. Welcome to THE boards another siteatic89!
  18. Welcome to THE boards das028!
  19. I'm aware of that SPEED. LOL! Actually didn't take any gear with me. Not sure where the next job is yet. May consider it next time.
  20. Man, I'm bummed! Had to take a contractor job til I find a permanent one. Spent 2 of the last 3 weeks in PA so not much wetting the line for me. Hopefully I'll get out soon but til then, I'll have to live through you guys! LOL
  21. Was able to get out this morning for a little while. Hit the pond in Brunswick. I found a lipless crank bite there. Caught 3 and the biggest went 3-5. Tried throwing a lizard and a spinnerbait as well but no takers. All 3 hit like a ton of bricks paralleling the shore, nothing out further.
  22. Good to see you on the board for the year wv! According to the Hancock gauge, the river peaked about 19ft and is on the decline now.
  23. In the local waters of the Potomac, referring to the stretch from Williamsport to Dickerson, there are no pike or snakehead in the Potomac (someone please correct me if I am wrong). There are pure strain and tiger muskies.
  24. Good to see your getting out! Its been tough overall on the few occasions that I am able to get out! I've had to slow WAY down to get any action (working soft plastic stick baits). Apparently, the little girl or her guardian doesn't understand what a closed season is. Heck, its been closed to 2 months now. Sad...
  25. tserberis and MARsSPEED, Welcome to THE boards! There are a lot of anglers that post on here in the Frederick, Washington and Montgomery county area. Scroll back through the pages and I'm sure you'll see plenty on local waters mentiones. I myself moved back to Frederick last fall so I'm hitting some of my old spots I've posted on but I'm looking for new waters too. If you have any questoons, post them or PM me. If you post, you'll get multiple replies (which is part of the reason this thread has been so successful)!
