terrible service at Strike King
Hey LBH, I also feel your pain! I've been dealing with an issue with two different companies (not fishing related so I won't mention the names) for over a month and a half. It really frustrates me as well when I receive poor customer service. Being a supervisor for the service center where I work, I am in the customer service field and have to interface with our customers from time to time. I don't treat our customers that way and will not be treated that way either, its unacceptable (IMO)! If I receive poor service once, I may be hesitant but would probably go back. A second time? They're done with my business forever!!! I know you said you received your sticker (yippee now huh?), I wonder if you called them back, asked to speak with a supervisor (maybe even ask them for their supervisor) if you'd be a little better off. Maybe that's what needs to happen, an escalated issue might open the higher ups eyes and nip any potential widespread problem before it gets that way. You may get your shirt and maybe a refund as well. If you were my customer and that happened I'd be doing something to make you happy again! Just a thought. Hope it helps and good luck!!!!!

Just Dreaming - but it could happen
Either that, or carry a larger cooler in your vehicle and just fill it up with water when you catch that monster. If you do, do that, you may want to consider a battery operated aerator to try to keep that monster alive!!!

need a picture and your alone
I picked up a Motorola V220 camera/phone. It has a time on it so when I first get to the water (either on the boat or on shore), I do a quick test shot to get the distance right and then all you need to do is just remember where to stand and start the timer. Mine has a 5 or 10 second delay which is plenty!

cool KVD video
Thanks for the link! Were there more fishing videos on there as well?

Schooled By D.B.
Hey chunter_ksu, Maybe my experience was a rare exception. It may have been the fact that he was there not fishing and it was the last day of the event. Maybe my opinion will change if I see him again under a different setting. I hope so since I did like him before that!

Electric Motors jon boat
If you are concerned about the floor bowing, you could add styrofoam between the ribs. My Dad did that to his boat. It minimizes the bowing even more, its light and also buffers any noise as well. Hope this helps!

Schooled By D.B.
Schooled was good. Denny's last show (The Bass Class) I thought was better. But his show before that one (can't remember its name) was the one I liked the best from Denny. While I admire his fishing skills, I met him at the Classic last year and was VERY let down with him and his attitude! As for the other shows, liked Loudmouth (minus Kumar) especially the E3's, Fishin' Hole....well I thought it was BASS Saturday??? Charlie is ok (I hope LBH gets his shot and schools him!) as long as he's bass fishing. I like Jimmy, if you watch his show close enough you can pick some things up from him; plus IMO he can entertain as well.

Cool idea
Verdict is in. Gambler makes one real close. Here it is: http://shopping.netsuite.com/s.nl/c.415372/sc.2/category.24/.f

Cool idea
Very nice basspro48! I think Gambler makes a creature bait like that though. I'll double check, but I think they do. But hey, they're not as popular as other so it may serve you well! Good Luck with them!

Fish Finder/TM/Battery set up
Just as an FYI, you can hook up both of your batteries in series for the trolling motor and if you really need to, you can connect your accessories to one of the batteries and not have any problems! Oh, my back ground, I was an electronics technician for 10 years.

Electric Motors jon boat
Welcome to the boards Keeper and wistex! IMO, the 44# will serve you well! I currently have a 43# thrust 12V Motorguide on the front of my 16' jon boat and it pulls it well except in VERY strong wind! There are several lakes here in my neck of the woods in MD that are electric only (including a 505 acre). I can go all day on that big lake on 1 battery unless I have to make alot of longer runs (then I switch to the other battery). I've also used it on the upper Potomac with almost no problems (high current areas obviously are a problem). I also run mine off a large gauge wire (6 gauge). I will be upgrading to a 52# 24V (for a little extra speed on some of the electric only lakes I fish tournies on from time to time) eventually but for now the 43 works well! One other trick I can pass on is to invest in a solar charger if you're going to be out for an extended period of time. This will help the batteries from draining too quick as well! Hope this helps!

Bassmaster U. - Who would you pick to see?
I'd have to go with 2, but I'd LOVE to see KVD!!! I've seen Jimmy (very informative and entertaining), Woo (great presenter with a wealth of information!) and Mike DelVisco (wasn't real thrilled with his seminar) that's why I wouldn't go with 1.

Pool thermometer for water temperature in pond
I've heard of a lot of anglers that use them. I haven't personally but I had a digital one that Minn Kota makes. Worked well til I accidently broke it. :-[

Can I tow with a ford 6
My uncle used to tow his Hydra-Sport with a Bronco two. Matter a fact, he towed it from Texas to PA. While I wouldn't recommend a ford, it can be done.

How many days?
I'm with LBH and fivebasslimit, not enough!! I'd have to say somewhere between 75 & 100. And hoping to do a more than that this year!

Penn State Rod
Hey Upnorth, Nice work!!! While I'm from PA and lived 45 minutes from Happy Valley, I'm a Michigan fan! Go Blue! ;D

Tow Vehicles
Hey Sam, If you're going to go Toyota, ya may want to consider the Highlander hybrid. I hear it has decent power and when you're not towing the boat, the hybrid part would come in real handy. Just food for thought.

Bass fishing without a boat.
Hey bugman, What type of advise are you looking for? While I have a boat, I do some shore fishing (over my lunch break) throughout the week when I can. Are you looking for lures to use, techniques? Let me know, I'd be happy to help you out where I can!

BR.com challenges Charlie Moore- 6/7 update
I watched it too LBH and your challenge was the first thought that came to mind. The other day for chuckles I went over on bassmasters boards and apparently Charlie posts there. Someone asked him about your challenge but he never responded. You are right though, one way or another, they should let you know if you've been accepted or rejected!

Do you have a lucky piece of clothing ?
If I'm fishing a tournament I have two t-shirts that I HAVE to wear (not at the same time ;D )! The one is in my pic. Its getting a little ragged but I can't give it up! I've had it on when I've landed two out of the last three PB's! Also when I'm fishing I have to be wearing some fishing related hat (normally either BASS or BPS) with a hook on the left side of the bill.

How many fish by the conditions
I'm with Marty and Panamoka on this one. I don't let the weather determine IF I'm going to go, it just helps me determine a game plan on what I am going to start with and then let the bass tell me if that's what they want or switch to a different tatic!

Here they are!!
They look real good!! Keep it up!

just wondering
I got your back on that one bassdocktor! I saw that exact rig in an OLD issue of Bassmaster. If memory serves me right, they tied a 4-6" leader (above the weight) and attached the hook to it. I think they even mentioned putting bee's wax on that leader to help keep the lure out to the side and not just dangle down.
