Fuji Rod?
might be an import , made for a different region . the manager of a San Diego bait and tackle store had bought a big lot of rods from Australia , one of them was a Shimano Core casting rod . i have never seen another one ever , can't even find them on Google ...

Fenwick Warranty
have a rod builder replace the guide , probably cost under $20 ..
-
first time builder, need direction
going with a custom rod , you can pick your own components , namely the reel seat ! everybody has their own choice for them and most of the time a factory rod has a different one ! Also handle length , handle configuration ( split , full , tennesse , etc.) , handle material (eva ,cork , hypalon , etc.) guide set ( including guide ring material , guide size , conventional or spiral wrapped) hook keeper stlye , hook keeper position , hook keeper or no hook keeper i think you get the point , custom rods for me are the only choice as i will never buy a factory rod ..

World record bass
maybe Wohlford , Vicente hasn't been getting any trout stocks for awhile .. the way people say ''snagged'' , it sounds as though people think Jed was using a weighted treble hook !! be assured it was a regular skirted jig ..
-
World record bass
yeah , it wasn't up to IGFA regulations , but stil considered by many , including myself , that that fish was caught legit by fishermen's standards taking in the fact of how it all transpired .

Ott's Home Made Line Thru Swimbait
the bait was a 6'' solid boot tail swimbait , i have to assume it weighs at least ounce or more likey at least 2 ounces . with that weight a jig style hook (top hook) can be thrown easily , especially if your rod is not stout enough for the lure/fish , when i hook up on a top hook hudd (8'') , i reel that bass in quick ! i mean really quick , not allowing it to shake it's head or jump very much.
-
World record bass
that could of happened to any one , to say it was illegaly ''snagged'' is ridiculus ! fish often throw hooks of the lure and result in the lure rehooking outside the mouth , it seems a lot of haters are quick to dismiss the catch Jed made , but without a doubt , the heaviest bass ever caught ! ... there are big bass in this little 70 acre lake , hopefully another monster like Dottie will be caught .

How do you fish a Senko normally: Wacky, Texas Rig, Other
wacky rigged , all the time ...
-
Ott's Home Made Line Thru Swimbait
with a line thru , when you get bit and the line travels away from the lure , the fish can't use the weight of the lure to throw the hook . that is why when hooking a fish on a top hook swimbait is that when you get bit you reel very steadily keeping pressure on the fish , not letting it shake it's head at all . with the line thru, you decrease the odds of that happening

Gliss, Nanofil, or Fireline Crystal
i tried the Gliss , did not care for it ( too wispy ! ) been using 10 lb. Sunline SX1 and i got to admit that this line is perfect ! believe it or not , i'm getting considerably longer casts and no wind knots ....

Sunline super FC sniper
it's niether Sniper or Shooter , they are none of the Sunline flourocarbons , Sunline just extrudes the line for them as you will notice that the gander line is a lot thicker , their 12 lb. line is Sunline's 14 lb diameter ...

on their website it says they're coming soon this month http://buddhabaitco.com/- Challenges Using Braid Below #10 lb. Test ?
i use flourocarbon that sinks as to not hinder the action of the bait (wacky rigged stick bait) as it falls and will not leave a bow in the line as much as straight braid , as i'm not worried about line visibility ... the straighter the connection between your rod and the bait , sensitivity goes up !- Hook sharpening, who does it ?
i use Owner hooks , mostly '' cutting point'' hooks and never see the need to sharpen them as they are sticky sharp , if by some chance they get dulled for some reason , they get discarded , hooks are pretty cheap at $ 1.50 each or less so trying to resurrect them with a file is not worth it to me .- Challenges Using Braid Below #10 lb. Test ?
i use 10 lb, Sunline SX1 on a Phenix M1 7'8'' MXF (spinning rod) custom with 3.5 mm micro guides and tie on a 15 ft. leader of 6 lb. Sunline Sniper . i use it for throwing a shakey head (Owner Ultra Shakey head 3/32 oz.) , 5'' stick bait w/Owner Wacky hook 1/0 , i also drop shot with it . the 10 lb. braid is plenty strong as i've caught 7 lb. catfish on it ( hit the shakey head rig ) and bass up to 6 lbs. without any problems , just don't see a need for a braid any smaller that would be suceptable to break offs ... - Need help finding Baby Mama
