The name I had in mind for this particular bait was already taken (as usual) and I am not the most creative guy with names or colors so I am giving BR members a chance to name the bait, and win 5 free bags of the bait in any color they wish (colors from my chart or the dropshot bait page) The bait is 3.75" and is a shad bodied DS bait with a cross tail design, just for a little info on the bait.

IMHO the spear is the only one that has even remotely peaked my interest, I doubt I will buy any but the other ones just look like knockoffs of knockoffs. I kow the spear is a knock off to, but its larger and has more action then the originals.

I don't know about best, I would even have a hard time putting it in the top 5, the one area it does shine is ripping from grass and letting it settle back down in and ripping it, it falls nice and vertical and attracts bites that way, otherwise on a straight retrieve or power fishing there is better baits out there, alot of them.

I have had many many days where every bite was a viscous strike where they immediately dropped the bait, then you wait 2 or 3 seconds and you feel em pick it back up and you better cross there eyes because they were ready to swallow the jig if you didn't. When they fish got to the boat one or both of the claws on the trailers would be ripped off almost every time. The first strike they were ripping the claws off the trailer, the second not so viscous bite they were eating. You know your jig color, size and presentation are dialed in when they are biting like that, they ain't picking it up to taste test, they are set on eating! Gotta love smallies!

imho there is no wrong way to fish the ring fry, wacky, jig head, weightless t-rig, c-rig (as much as I hate it) weighted t-rig, drop shot (both wacky and nose hooked) its an all around great bait.

I normally dont like braid, but in frog fishing I use it, the only reason I use it is that I am normally fishing frogs in and around slop, the braid has a distinct advantage in weeds, it just cuts right through them, mono or flouro doesnt

The "legs" are rubber, don't leave them in the sun, its just like rubber skirted jigs or spinnerbaits, the sun heats up the rubber and they stick together and deform.
