Are all shallow crankbaits designed for heavy cover, or just a majority of them? What are some that are not designed for heavy cover?

This reel has no braking system. What does this mean for the reel? What does this do for the fishing? And to anyone who has used one, how do they perform?

I now have 1 1/2 setups. Mojo Bass 70MHM W/ BPS extreme reel/12lb Yo-Zuri and Triumph 70MHF ( I have the rod but not the reel & line) W/ BPS extreme reel/17lb mono. Then it is going to be a Triumph 70MF W/ Shimano Sahara2500/8lb Yo-Zuri. My crankbait setup feels really nice to me. It feels balanced and comfortable. And the Triumph rods are really nice too. Any advice/comments?

Ok, lol. So pretty much with crankbaits, a moderate action is better so the hookset is slower so the fish inhales the lure more. Am I right now?

I bought a Triumph 70MHF for shallow to medium cranks, but I don't know if the fast action is going to work for me. Now if I understand this correctly, the fast action is going to bend faster, which means there is going to be a delay in the hook set, which means the crankbait is going to go deeper in the mouth of the fish, or it's going to spit it out? But the moderate would set the hook faster?

A fast tip or moderate when fishing shallow to medium cranks?

Is it the same with spinning reels too?

What baitcasters are rated for 17lb fluoro? The highest rate I've seen is 14lb.

I received a 7' MH baitcast rod, BPS extreme reel and 12LB Yo-Zuri line. I plan on using this setup for crankbaits.I can spend $40 or $50 on shallow, middle, deep, lip less and 1 or 2 blade baits. SO if you guys could setup a list of crankbaits for me to order ( plus the colors ) from BPS I would really appreciate it!!!! Ok, one last question, I promise, than I'll go away forever. On my 7' MH baitcast setup with 12lb fluoro, what else can I fish this with?
