Ok, on this rod I will put 12lb fluoro for crankbaits. Now, what line should I put on the same rod and reel for jigs and spinnerbaits? And what line should I put on a 6'6 M baitcast rod for worms and finesse?

What do you have to get comfortable with, with fluoro?

Medium/fast action, with 8# line. I'm going to be buying a MH setup soon, so I want to make sure that I fish the right lures with the right setup. This is what I fish on this setup. 4 inch and 6 inch lizards, trick worms, speed worms, curly tail worms, and brush hogs. All weightless. What is the "proper" way to fish these baits? A brief explanation in your own words, and links to articles would be appreciated. Thank you. Also, what other soft plastics, weightless can I fish on this setup?

Hmmm, maybe I'm thinking too small, especially for Florida. I now have a Ugly Stik 8-20LB rod, but I don't know what the line is. Possibly 12LB. It seems like I should look into a rod and reel within that range. Any suggestions?

The hook got stuck in 2 of the fish' throat I caught today. I was trying to hurry up and get it out, but I didn't have any pliers, and I haven't released many fish, considering I've only been fishing for 2 months. What is the quickest way to take a hook out of a fish' mouth without hurting them?
