I was wondering if the SoFla guys on this forum ever get together and fish. It would be cool to get something going, maybe a little shore fishing?

The question is who else from the forum do you fish with, or have the south florida guys gotten together and fished? I'm wondering if we can all get together and do some shore fishing or something

You should have been on here earlier. I put together several (at least 5) get togethers between 2006-2008. I have moved to Tallahassee now, but I always had the guys meet at Okeeheelee Park in West Palm Beach. We had a lot of fun. I think we had about 10 guys coming.

LC and I briefly discussed shore fishing for other species, that is what I thought he meant.

I fished with fellow local and national members would like to fish more often, but I am only free on weekdays and most people weekends.  

Now that I have a baby boy its going to be tougher, but all I have to do is walk out my backyard to slay'em!

I have fished with a couple of south florida members and it was a good time. I have not fished in over 4 weeks, so I am ready to hitch up the boat and dust off the poles.

I'm in, I live 3 miles from that park, someone has to take charge and organize it or it won't happen.  So who's the coordinator?

I am officially not coordinating this one. I live 7 hours away.

I would be interested in attending as well. I have posted about meeting up a few times actually, but nothing ever comes together. I know on other forums I visit they have individual chapters for members in different areas. Each chapter has a group coordinator who puts meets together and helps bring new members to the site. May be something for Glenn to consider.

Okeehelee park is just south of Royal palm Beach,  Forest Hill Blvd, Just east of 441 (St. Rd 7).  Fairly big park with allot of fishable water.

So should we all pick some day to go there? Maybe do a little fishing and grilling?

We need a coordinator, who is willing to step up and coordinate this get together?  We have a place. (okeeheelee park)  What's next coordinator?

I would be the coordinator, but I would rather have one of the very respected veterans of this site do it. I feel like if I was the one to pick the time and date as opposed to a "been posting a long time" dude, less people would take is seriously and actually show up. Can someone step up please? It would be cool to see how you all fish, rather than just read about it lol. Thanks in advance to whoever decides to do it.

Dude, you've made enough posts to do it. I used to put these together all the time- you're making a mountain out of a mole hill. Just pick date and time (typically a Saturday around noon) and get guys to sign up. Once they do, assign them an item to bring (hot dogs, drinks, etc.)

Do you need to reserve a pavilion from Okeeheelee or do you just show up? LCkilla if you Coordinate this thing Ill show up.
