Don't see any reason not to fish both, needless to say start the day off in saltwater.......lol. I personally like the way fish bunch up more with shallower water, but ya gotta fish the conditions. I did fish a couple of canals yesterday, the water level is up but there was a lot of broken grass floating and little swifter current, due to the wind IMO.

I don't have to be intense when I'm fishing, I can put my lure where ever I want and shoot the bull at the same time. I already know how to fish so it's matter of the fish being cooperative, some days they are and some days they aren't . All my bass fishing is done alone, simply because I don't know anyone that bass fishes. I do like people around me when I'm saltwater fishing, sometimes you just need someone to help with the fish. I do catch smaller fish but I'm not really targeting anything under 10#, having a net or gaff man is very helpful, plus I like be social. I do bass fish nearly every day in addition to saltwater. I do it without pressure to perform, don't care if I lose a fish, just a matter of time until another good one comes along.

That's for sure, personally I give up all my places to just about anyone, exception the ones bragging about their secret spots. Blindfolded to catch a 5# fish, you gotta be kidding. A 5# fish isn't a big enough deal to kiss some ass.

Assuming the reel will be used in freshwater for bass, I don't for see any major stress being put on a reel from either the fish or the elements. Any major brand around $100 is going to be fine IMO, most seem to be smooth with a more than satisfactory drag. If weight and/or balance is an issue I would take my rod and put a few reels on it to see what you like the best. Not that I believe too many problems will arise with a fresh water reel, other than a cleaning, I would pay attention to customer service. In that arena I have not dealt with companies better than Pure Fishing or Quantum.

I cut all my inshore leaders from mono lines, haven't used Yozuri but with all other brands I've used there is curling. Most noticeable approaching the end of 1/4 lb spool, once in the water with a lure on they straighten and limp right out, no problems.

I've been doing quite a bit peacock fishing, the canals where I target them are extremely low so maybe the rain will help some. For the first time in ages I did some bass fishing behind my home, it rained hard all nite yesterday. I caught some sizable bass.

It annoys a bit when I see people keeping a lot of fish, I supposed everyone has a different requirement on what their need is. Bucket fisherman don't bother me, except being in my way sometimes, they don't fish for the kind of fish I do. When the fishing is slow for me I may try and catch a few for them. Confrontations don't pay

I own only 1 Shimano rod I don't care for and I don't think it has anything to do with it's quality, I should have bought the next size up.

Don't know about 40# PP breaking as I don't use braid that heavy, Power Pro in 10-15-20 and 30# has worked just fine for me. The majority of my freshwater fishing is done with 10# braid, have not encountered problems with any of the popular brands.

Living in Florida I'm not quite sure what a Florida rig is. I use plastic swimbaits just about daily in both fresh and saltwater, just haven't seen the need to glue one on a jig head or on an EWG hook. I only use glue when tying.

I'm retired, but have always been a very early riser.

Zap a Gap which I use on my crappie style jigs, my prime peacock bass bait. If you are referring to a fluke style bait I use no glue just press a jig head into them. As of late I've been using Strike redfish 1/4 oz jig heads.

Always subject to change, at present a Star 7'6 mh with a Quantum cabo 40 reel, used for elevated areas like jetties and sea walls. Equally enjoyed but for water's edge use like the beach is a 7'6 med Hurricane redbone with a Abu soron 40.

Must be something to on line forums, whether it's fishing related or something else...........members are always perfect and the problem is with others. Just so you know, I'm a lousy driver, terrible fisherman, had a hard time keeping a job, too much booze and I bitchslap my wife a few times a day, other than that I'm perfect.

Over the years I've had percolaters, french press, drip both manual and automatic. The best coffee I have had comes from a commercial grade 100 cup drip, not practical for home use. I make a pot about 1 am everyday, if my wife hears water boiling, beans being ground, I'm a dead man so it's the auto drip. Machines seem to last me about 2 years, have owned Braun, Krupps, Cuisenart, Mr Coffee, and bunch of others. I defied my own common sense, I've stated many times in don't pay attention to reviews for fishing gear, I read coffee maker reviews for last machine. Just about review was 5 out of 5 stars so I bought a 12 cup Melita, what a piece of crap. I can't wait till it breaks. The Melita has 3 settings, regular, bold and robust, brewing time is the difference, I've tried all 3 and regulated the amount of coffee, the right combination doesn't seem to exist for me. At face value a drip machine is nothing but hot water dripped over coffee grounds, in theory all should be equal, they aren't. I've been using the same brand of coffee for my every day brew for years and years, it ha tasted great in other machines, so it ain't the coffee.

I don't carry a scale nor do I care about a record, so the point is moot. When I do catch a fish that is very significant in size I don't mind telling people where it's been caught, someone may have given me the spot.

I have an arbor 50, way too much for bass fishing. Don't recall the line capacity but it's fairly significant, 25 # max drag and weighs 12 oz, been an outstanding performer for what I use it for. 30 size is a much better for bass. I might be interested in that combo, I'd like another arbor 50.

Incoming tide and s/e wind, not the best conditions for snook at Jupiter inlet, good place to get hooked in the back of head too. lol. Surf would be cool sometime.

Only toothy fish I don't like catching is spanish mackerel, I get too many cut off lures and the fight is no big deal. Other than those fish, if it's got size and fight teeth or not I want to catch it. Yeh you better be real careful with a shark, they have no bones and can turn 180 degrees and bite you.

Catch rate or quality of fish makes no difference being alone or with a companion. My better fish are usually caught before dawn and I'm alone most of the time. Some of these fish I can't lift or it's illegal to take them out of the water, some have to be broken off, or no around to snap a pic. I have posted quite a few barracuda pics, catching them in daylight and being edible there is always a friend to help with the gaff. I do my bass fishing in the afternoon usually alone.
