PB, Sounds like you are doing it right. Just fish it from the bank closer to cover. Might want to try a small offset worm hook like a 1/0. I usually put it next to some cover and shake it. Also riprap is good just cast parallel to it like you are crankbait fishing. Also docks, and points. I usually shake continuously. works for me.

What is a typical college tour day like. Like how long are they and what schools compete against each other. Is it schools close to each other or what. Do you have to have a boat. WHat is the time period etc. I know someone can give me the specifics. THanks Fishie

Some of you more gifted guys with the computer get some pics up on here of gloves it would be great to see what you guys use. I have just use the wool with the flap and the fingers cut out with the tube still in place. I would like to see some of these better gloves though.

Just put it on the hook and push it up on the jig to the holder instead of hooking it once like a pork bait.

With winter approaching soon in St. Louis I would like to see if there is anything I can use to prevent icing of the guides when it gets colder. I have in the past used spinner because there is no reel guide but I want to keep using my casters.

Attention to detail. I think you got to watch to make sure baits are straight on hook and rigged perfectly for best action. I heard this from Aaron Martens too.

Anyone making there own baits on here?

I have fished with some guides on Kentucky Lake and Table Rock before and I have seen both ends of good guides and bad ones. They both fished but the good ones knew what the hell the bite was on for the day right away and it was easy whereas the bad ones where not as locked in on what areas to hit and were all over the place. I like what yahs said about tipping the guide if you can get a big one. That is a good idea in my opinion!
