  1. As a few on here know My wife and myself bought an older home and have been working on one project then another for over a month now. I haven't fished in a month and a half and I decided enough was enough and for a few hours this morning and I went fishing. It wasn't what one would consider a stellar morning but merely being out on the water was stellar to me. Anyway, I boated 5 fish, all caught on Zoom magnum finesse worms In black. They soaked overnight in clear JJ'S magic. We finally had some rain(It's almost drought conditions In this part of NC)last night and while the water was a little stained It didn't seem to affect the fish. I caught all 5 right on the bank in less than a foot of water. There was nothing of size with the biggest going two lbs. but durn If It wasn't fun!
  2. As promised, here are two baits I recently purchased. They are in great shape, in the original boxes, with Inserts! The black bait Is pre- 1965 and it was later named Rebel Humpy. If you'll notice on this bait the screw that holds the lip onto the bait is on top of the head. It was only later, not sure when, they decided to go from the bottom.
  3. Zoom 8" big dead ringer(red/shad) Siebert brush jig(bluegill and black/red) R.I smallie beaver(black/red) and a few different crankbaits with a custom made med. diver from Big M baits as It can be fished shallow out to about 9 ft. (TN shad) The thing I love about night fishing Is the lack of boat traffic and the sounds of the lake at night are unreal!
  4. I would request a plastic worm that's an exact match of a Bill Norman Snatrix. This Is purely sentimental and while some might consider It a waste It was the first plastic worm with which I caught a bass.
  5. Welcome!
  6. An option for me that has all but replaced the Senko. The Zoom magnum finesse worn has great action, Is a ton more durable, Is quite cheap, and they catch fish.
  7. I will be posting two baits I recently purchased. They won't be here 'til Friday but I will let the pictures speak for themselves. Hint: for you folks that like Rebel baits these will be a treat.
  8. Welcome!
  9. If you seriously want to take a break, simply buy an older home that needs some work, you'll get all the break you need. lol I'm agree with AJ, try some new waters or a new technique. At this point It's all about a change, It will re-energize you like you won't believe!

  12. 7pm-7am.... In the dead of Summer I rarely get on the water before 8:00 pm. To me, in the Summer, the absolute best time to be on the water, from a tranquility standpoint, Is from 1:00 am until 4:00 am. There are a few crappie fisherman still out and the majority(If not all) the tournament boats are off the water and It seems you have the entire lake to yourself.

  15. R.I. Skinny Dipper..... In the truest defenition not a swimbait so I went with other plastic.
