Fish on my boat more. Between pro staff responsibilities, coaching the local high school team, fishing with others to make content videos, and riding with an NPFL pro doing mediawork, I took my own boat out a half dozen times. My wife wants to do more night fishing this Summer. I want to fish more with my wife. I'd like to bust a 5 lb Smallmouth or better yet my wife do that. Or both of us get one. :) Me and a buddy are looking at a trip in December to Baccarac. Lastly, slow down some and fun fish.

Update: thankfully we only got 1" of ice and sleet. No power lost but It's not going anywhere today. Winter, as a rule, sucks. :)

We're under an Ice warning. Freezing rain from tomorrow afternoon until late Sunday night. I detest Winter as a rule but an Ice storm with possible outages simply sucks. We shall see. (FN1) FN1: yes I know 2" of Ice might not be a big deal to folks up North. But in the South it shuts everything down. Edit: to the folks in the negative numbers for the highs and lows, I feel for you. I truly can't imagine.

I have had some issues with the rod company i have been with for years. I'll leave it at that. I decided to make a change. 4 new JB Custom Rods. I had bought 2 earlier this year and have had great results. Only 5 more to replace the old.

I have been here for 16+ years. Tom was so generous. He and Tommy(CATT) had so many memorable discussions. Tom was a lot more than fishing. He was so analytical in all things and quite a character when you took the time to talk to him at length. After seeing him share for so many years and in an instant it's gone. It's more than sad. He gifted me a pile of Rebel baits and I will fish one or two on Monday. Thank you, friend. See you in the afterlife sir!
