  1. I fish Siebert Outddors jigs exclusively. The Zenith shakeyheads are a fine product also! Edit: Delcosol, as for storage, I keep 2 jig dedicated boxes and to make It simple for myself I label the Inside of each compartment with the weight of the jigs. I hope that helps.
  2. Favorite would have to be TX rigged plastics or a Siebert brush jig.

  6. These are some of the first baits I was given or bought back in '81. The one in the lower right hand corner is a crankbait called and Angel eye and It caught my first bass. all the baits were given to me by the two guys that got me started in bass fishing with the exception of the one In the upper left hand corner, that one Is the first balsa bait I ever bought. It was bought at a small tackle shop outside of Clarksville Arkansas in '81 for a dollar. I also have some older spinning rigs that were my granddaddy's and the first baitcasing reel, a Ryobi, that I bought in '81.
  7. Snakehead, do y'all eat the bluefish? I know down here in NC a lot of the oldtimes eat bluefish but It's slowly becoming, for some, a fish most refuse to eat as they consider It a trash fish. When I go home to see family at the coast I ALWAYS either buy or go catch some blues and smoke them; that's durn fine eating!

  10. I couldn't agree more. I have spent money on some custom crankbaits and have had a fair amount of success but If I'm being honest with myself I think one of the biggest reasons for this success Is I use them more and I have a high amount of confidence In them. As Speedbead said earlier In this thread the point of fishing Is to have fun and whatever the price range you have make it count as we are all blessed more than we know to be able to fish, have fun, and on occasion catch some decent fish! On a side note, Speed, how In the heck do you throw that giant swimbait on a snoopy rod?
  11. I'm sure this topic has been discussed before but here it goes. As a general rule I never fish on holiday weekends as the boat traffic Is higher and the rudeness and lack of simple boating etiquette makes things unbearable and on a few occasions dangerous. The only time I break this Is I might go at night(during the Summer months) or as I'm doing Sunday evening I'm going with my fiance to a private pond that receives little to no pressure. I was wondering how others felt or dealt with this.
