  1. I've bought Okuma rods from one of the vendors. They have great prices but a lot of times the rods aren't in stock. It is sometimes a 2 or 3 week waitng time before you get the orders but the prices are worth waiting for.
  2. Has anyone tried this rod out. I'd like the 8' rod for pitching baits but the blank color looks to be god awful yellow. I think I'll wait for the new Berkley rod coming out soon.
  3. I got to try out my new Okuma Reflexions 661mh casting rod this weekend. I didn't bass fish with it but used it saltwater fishing. I had a 1/8th ounce jig with a 3"gulp shrimp on a Calcutta with 8lb big game. It casted the jig with no problem in the 20mph headwindwind. The sensitivity was pretty good. I noticed they did use cheap guides to cut down costs but for $39.00 plus shipping I wouldn't hesitate toi get another but probably the 7'm. The rod has a longer butt than my lightning rod shock. It has plenty of backbone. It looks like an ideal rod for worm fishing which is what I'll use it this spring when I'm bass fishing again.
  4. I have the Cardinal 300U and an pleased with it. I put some 10lb fireline on it. I have it on a Berkley Amp 6ft6in rod,
  5. I just ordered a Okuma Reflexions 661mh casting rod. Has anyone tried this rod? I have the Okuma Big bait rods and love'm. I couldn't find the Lightning Rod Shock around town and saw these Okuma's for $39.00 plus shipping. I'll put out a report as soon I try it out.
  6. I've got a couple of the 7'6" shocks paired to some old school Penn 720z and 722z's. I believe a 2500 to 3500 size reel would be fine on any of the rods that I mentioned.
  7. Thanks I have 3 7'6"ml spinning shocks that I use for inshore fishing.I just ordered a 7" shock casting that I'm going to put a Abu silver max on. I have a 6' Amp and a 7' Amp spinners that I also use.Unfortunately I don't have any for sale.
  8. I have the Berkley Shock lightning rod series rod in spinning and casting and absolutely love them. I also bought a couple of the Berkley Amp rods and they are pretty good for a rod under 30 bucks.
  9. I haven't tried the Tactix but I did by a couple of the Amp series and Lightning Shock rods. They are some of the best bargain rods on the market.
