Best Crankin Reel For 75 To 150
I used a PQ 4:.9:1 for awhile. Worked well for me. I have upgraded tithe tatula p 5.4;1 but haven't been able to use it yet so time will tell. I'm expecting good things from It though.those are for deep divers. Square bill , lipless, and other cranks are all reeled with a daiwa advantage hst 6.3:1.

Tackle Tour Reviews Bps Pro Qualifier
Maybe TT should come up with a system based on price point and what you get for the money. Put the PQ in the $100 or less category and it will rate very high compared to others like the exceler, caneen, prodigy, etc. but throw it in with zillions and chronarchs it's not exactly apples to apples. I felt the review was vs higher end tackle as well, but I put more faith in my own judgement and reviews here, than the number TT gives to a reel.

At What Price Point Do You...
I'm in the less than 200 category too. Mine may actually be $150 as I have not spent that much on either a rod or reel. Of course I generally wait until big sales too and try to stay away from paying retail prices.

Vendetta Vs Verita Vs Lightning Rod
I'm surprised..usually you and I seem to be on the same page on topics but I have to disagree on this one. I have all 3 and use 2 of the 3. The veritas makes up the majority of my arsenal with the vendettas slowly being weeded out with veritas. Veritas to me is superior to the vendetta (either 1 or 2) in components feel and now bang for the buck. Vendetta- stainless guides with zirconium insert total count on 7' 7+ tip < veritas titanium alloy with SIC inserts total count on 7' 9 + tip. 2nd point is probably more personal preference and my own experience with both but the vendetta reel seat and regular graphite blank < veritas exposed reel seat and nano tech blank. Last is bang for the buck, vendetta used to rule this category but now that most places the vendetta and veritas are the same price vendetta < veritas hands down. I would say this even with the $15 price difference for $64. As far as the crooked guides and epoxy I think every manuf. has some flaws regardless of cost. A quick look before purchase will calm any anxiety over flawed guides. If ordering from an online store then it will always be a risk that you may get one with something wrong. Now as far as thE LR ( mine is the shock version) I will totally agree. Decent rod for $40 but mine just sits in the basement collecting dust for now. I may use it for some river fishing since I'll need to use a rod that I don't mind banging against the river rocks.

The Effect Of Ethanol
When I bought my boat after the 3rd outing my fuel pump became clogged from the liner of the gas line breaking down. I'm sure the previous owner used ethanol gas and it had been sitting awhile . The liner got in the gas tank and fuel filter. Had to change the line , fuel filter and then add a inline filter. After about 2 years of non ethanol gas being run I think I am finally safe from not having any more problem.

Fishing From Sit Inside Kayak?
I use the old town vapor 10 for my kayak fishing. I don't have any issues casting or landing fish. I only use baitcasters too. I like it because we fish some fast moving water sometimes and the temptation to stand would probably lead to a cool dunk in the water.

Is This Right Now And Good
Honestly I haven't decided. I have a pfluger president or a , daiwa T3 ballistic (8:1 model). I'm leaning toward the president since most of the ballistics are spoken for on other rods and it will more closely resemble the PQ feel wise. Then again I have been eyeing those zillions on sale at TW. Decisions decisions. Lol.

Is This Right Now And Good
Just FYI for those interested the reel is upgraded with carbonex drag washers, replaced theworm gear housing with a metal one and replaced the cheap handle knobs with rubber knobs w/ reel grips. I believe it will make a fine frog reel for ya. It's actually what I use it for.

Rage Craw Mold
Better options out there than infringing on someone's idea. Dicks just had a sale on rage tail buy1 get 1 free for 4:47. That's a little over $2 a pack. Academy regularly puts rage tail on sale. Plenty of options for finding them cheaper to save you some money.

Zara Puppy Upgrades?
I love the Zara puppy. Only upgrade you need or that I do is change out the hooks to better quality. But that's only after I've caught a few fish with the originals.

Price Match T3 Ballistic?
In the past I have not had luck with retail stores price matching online stores , much less when the online store product is on sale.

Daiwa Rods, Your Experiences
I used the daiwa Tierra rods which general consensus seems to be that they are the older version of the daiwa T rods. I really liked them and still have one that I use. I also have 2 daiwa ballistic rods that are a little on the heavy side but great rods. Especially since I bought them for $50 on sale at TW. As far as reels daiwa is all I use. Mostly t3 ballistic ( 6 + 1 JDM t3 mx) advantage (2) viento (2) a alphas finesse (1) and an exceller (1) love every single one of them. Sold all my pq's and Pflueger and abu revo reels to switch over.

Gift Cards Or Not?
Personally unless the management position was a step up in status or pay from my previous job , after they lost my resume for the second time I would have reservations about working there to begin with and I certainly wouldn't have gone out of my way to try and get the position. Having said that i would care less if the GM took a poop on my lawn if the gift cards were worth enough I'd get my free stuff and then never go back.

3" Yum mighty bug. Works really good since the claws are thicker than most craws. Keeps those pesky bluegill from tearing the claws off.

Ever Broke Fishing Rod - How?
Broke 2 rods both the exact same way. I didn't lift the boat lid up far enough when pulling out the rod and the lid comes crashing back down. One day I'll learn.

T3 ???
If you get one get the 8:1 it has a much better handle and knobs than the 6:1 or 7:1. It's longer and oversized knobs. More like the new exceller handle. The handle on the viento in the pics is what will come with the slower ratio reels. I actually switched mine out on the 7:1 which is why it's on the viento now.

Bps Crankin' Stick 7' M Vs H20 Ethos 7' M Composite
Actually you can and ethos does 59.99<79.99. Just wanted to give ya a little razzin. Both are going to have similar charteristics being composite rods. The contour grip on the cranking stick is nice and the split grip on the ethos is also very well done. My vote is for the ethos but as for sensitivity you can't beat a all graphite rod I use the veritas winch and it has great sensitivity, soft tip and good backbone plus it is nice and lightweight. Just an alternate suggestion @79.99 which is in the price point you are looking at.

Bp Pro Qualifier Of Abu Garcia Revo S
I've had both. Performance wise the only thing that was different to me was the dual breaking on the PQ. Cosmetically the revo seemed to have better colors and looked sleeker than the PQ. Didn't really noticed a weight differance between the 2. The revo a also felt better palming. Most of the differences are gonna be personal preference since they come from the same manufacturer the builds are gonna be quite similar.

Sc Lakes
Wateree has had some good stringers lately. Of course the king of the state santee cooper is always a safe bet. Whatever you do don't go to murray as it does not hold any aquatic life whatsoever. And sadly that's not a joke:-/

Scrounger Heads
It has been my #1 bait so far this year. There is a good video with A martens where he gives some modifications he does. I just rig em and throw em. A slower steady retrieve seems to work best for me.
