  1. Well as long as y'all are not 300# like me then we should be fine. I've fished 3 outta the boat before with no problems If not I can at least give you some other ponds or lakes to try out. Also on Murray bring spooks.... Lots of em. When the stripers start schooling it's lites out!!
  2. Raider I don't know your particular situation and certainly not trying to bust your chops, but let me come at you from the other side of the coin as I am the one that dictates the hours of my employees. When work slows down , hours have to get cut or else the company loses money and If that happens to long no one will have any hours. Most often things like this are not popular with employees and rightfully so, but I can tell you that by dragging out a job and using more hours than necessary you are not helping the company any and that's what the Mickey mouses are looking for , people that help the company. I can personally tell you of the employees that work for me that continually drag out a job ( and yes management does have a good idea how long jobs are supposed to take) get less and less hours until they either quit or I terminate their employment. The ones that get the most hours are the ones that consistently show they can get the job done UNDER the expected time it takes to do the job. Why? Because its better for the company. So my suggestion in this case would be show the MickeyMouses what a great worker you are by completing jobs before any one else and I'll bet you will see a increase in jobs and hours.
  3. Who said I owned a scooter? Which I don't. Figured it was a 2 wheeled thing and noticed no one ever waves at them.
  4. I agree with everything except the great place to fish part . JK ....It's a tough fishery. Bass are always keyed in on the blue back herring and white zoom flukes always seem to win tourneys also shakey heads when they are not schooling Shoot me a pm on when youll be here and maybe I can take you out on the boat.
  5. Why do they always wave at each other? I use to ride a bike many moons ago and never could figure out why complete strangers waved at me just because of the vehicle I was on. Anyone know how this originated? And why is it that Harley riders will wave at Harley riders and sport bike riders will wave sport bike riders but seldom do Harley riders and sport bike riders wave at each other? And how come nobody's waves at the dudes on scooters? Just some things on my mind
  6. i have bought it, but only got it this morning and won't be able to try out till Saturday. But i will definitely leave some feedback
  7. Anybody tried this ultralight version yet? Just picked one up and wondering if it will hold up as a smaller umbrella rig for bass.
  8. Casting a dropshot can work well. Keeps the bait above the moss and not much grass algae accumulates on those small drop shot cylinder weights.
  9. I use one if the aluminum portable ones that has the suction cup in the bottom. Probably one of the best investments I've made. Although I did have toodify it slightly to get the results I wanted.
  10. Haha that's funny. I don't think but one of my reels cost more than $100 and none of them have ever let me down. Thanks for the heads up though.
  11. Probably can't go wrong with either but since I have never used the orra cant really say anything about it. But I own many pqs and variations there of and all of them have been super reliable
  12. Yep exact same rod. I do like it it's got some great components. PAC bay guides Fuji reels seat, split cork grips. Just tryin to make up my mind whether I should get another one if I see it
  13. . I can answer that for ya!! The PQ looks great on this rod. the silver PQ is slick on that black rod!
  14. So I go I to my local Walmart 2 weeks ago and see a 6'6" mh quantum energy pt casting rod for $22. It was the only one in the bin. This rod list at TW for $79.99 so of course I bought it. Well I went back today and they had another one in the bin and I bought it also. But I wondering just how many of these things would you buy ? I mean a $80 rod for $20 is hard to pass up but just how many of the same type of rod would you get?
  15. Try and make friends with a homeowner in the neighborhood. You will be able to fish there as there guest. Or you could talk to the HOA property manager or board of directors of the community. Be courteous and simply ask if you can fish in the pond and that you will help pick up loose trash or other minor jobs when you are fishing. I work for allot of HOA's and they are usually more than willing help people out when it helps there community.
  16. Water . Lunch with a diet mt dew. Sunscreen , hat and polarized glasses are must haves
  17. I know allot of people like to look In The fishes mouth to see what it has been eating, but ever since I started fishing I have never seen anything in a fishes throat. Also I've never broken the line on a hook set.... Just curious to see what other things that are common place in fishing that you have never had happen to you?
  18. Glad to know you made it safely. Now just make it home safely and all will be well!! Thank you for your service to our country.
  19. A big problem with getting a new coach is that they usually like to run there own style offense/ defense. So it's gonna be a while if they expect good results due to the fact that it's gonna take their current players a while to know it.
  20. I'm pretty sure it would be legal and my reasoning is at an FLW event (can't remember which one) that exact thing happened. An angler had a fish and as the co-angler dropped the net in the water the fish come unbuttoned and fell into the net. Also at one of the elite events (even though they don't use nets) David walker had a fish on and as he went to land it it came unhooked and he struggled to get it before it swam away although he was unsuccessful.
  21. It amazes me sometimes how people reach the top and risk it all on a fling. I just hope the razorbacks program doesn't suffer to much for this mans actions.
  22. I'm not gonna bash you on your being disappointed in this matter. It really sucks when you are geared up to do something that depends on another's participation and they bail last minute. I don't think one person here can say that they wouldn't be disappointed period. It's human nature. Although his excuse may be warranted and not much he could do about being sick, I would suggest step back evaluate your friendship with this person and let your feelings on the subject determine you coarse of action. It seems you have a good relationship with him and it may be worth giving him another shot. If he bails again the you have your answer. I wouldn't throw the years you have together away based on one occurance. If he has become standoffish with you then his actions will let you know where you stand real quick.
  23. Never really cared if it's true or not hence my disclaimer that" I'm not sure if it's true" Seems after 5-7 years there effectiveness for Vegitation control and growth slows even though they continue to live for many more years which is why they continually need restocking. Thanks for bein a smarty pants so I could learn something. Here's a link incase you wanna read it. https://srac.tamu.edu/index.cfm/event/getFactSheet/whichfactsheet/160/
  24. Yes they can. I have a pond u fish that has big ole carp and big ole bass both. The biggest problem that I see is the carp eat the vegetation which can lead to a lack of cover and oxygen content. But I have heard that once a carp gets a certain age they don't eat. Not sure if it's true or not though.
