Stuck To Shimano
I'm a pflueger fan also along with pqs and I don't see having a problem with longevity of the reels. The company has been in business way longer than 10 years. Also I see this turning into a x reel is better than z reel thread. It's all about personal preference and confidence. If you like shimano great, they make some great products, lews, also quality products, along with pflueger Daiwa , Abu Garcia , pinnacle, and any other products I failed to mention. Debating over which reel is best is like debating over which is worse for you , McDonald's, burger king, or Hardee's

Bulging Eyes
Probably impossible to tell cause they grow different rates in different places but at 26.5 " I would guess 8-10 years

Bulging Eyes
It's normal for older bass. You ever see the ones at bps those things look like their eyes would pop out if you thumped em on head

Carolina Keeper Are Swivel
Carolina keeper OR swivel is what i guessing you are asking. I like the Carolina keeper. It was shown to me by a fellow member here and is a neat concept with allot of added benefits over a swivel. only one knot, adjustable leader length are the 2 that stand out most to me.

Abu Garcia Black Max
the black max is a fine starter reel. Sure there are better values out there but you would not be dissapointed with the performance of this reel. I had mine for 3 years before handing it down to a fellow fisherman. And just as a side note i saw the new blackmax combo at Sportsman warehouse for $69.00 and thats a heck of a deal. DSG also has the black max paired with a vengence rod for $99 so couple of good options for that reel.

Does B.a.s.s Need Another "major'
I love to watch the elite series events but have recently found myself itching to see another "major" in the B.a.S.S circuit besides the classic. I think it would add to anticipation much like the majors in golf do. I saw where they use to have the major tournament in 2006 and 2007 and have watched them online . Its a great concept and made for some good viewing. Whats your thoughts?

How Many Rods Do You Carry?
9 baitcasters and 2 spinning on the boat. 1 baitcaster and 1 spinner on the kayak

My Restoration Thread
It really depnds on how much distance you have between the decks and console and the position in which you cast.. Cant really tell by the pics. The best way to tell is to mount some with double sided tape or something and stand on the decks to see what fishing would be like with them in place. If its a problem then you can simply remove them or it they work you can bolt them in place.

My Restoration Thread
Have you thought about using vertical rod holders? seems the issue is space and vertical ones would eliminate that. You could just bolt them right to the console and have that rod holder space for something else. something like this:

Thinking About Getting A Bait Caster...
- Need A New Worm Rod. What Should I Get?
I use a 7'3" vendetta. Its been a good rod with great action and the length seems perfect for me . Not to short, and not to long, but would certainly go up to a veritas if given the option.- Kayak Stabilizers
I looked at pelican kayaks before buyin the one I did. They didn't get good reviews so I bought something else. I'm sure stabilizers would work but you shouldn't have to buy them in the first place it seems like they would be kind of a crutch for a poor design. I guess the question you need to ask yourself is if you'd rather throw more money into a yak that has already disappointed you performance wise or try to sell it and take the money you would use for the stabilizers and buy a yak that would give better performance right outta the box.- Kayak Stabilizers
It should be easy. I used an odder for my first experience. Even though it was very small for the size guy I am I never flipped it or had a problem outside the first time I tried to get in the boat. Made a 3 mile trip that day- Which Topwater Do You Prefer?

Landscape Maintenance Division Manager.- Pflueger Patriarch - Review
Pflueger makes some great reels . i own 5 of them (asaros, trion, and president). the only thing that has kept me away from the Patriarch series is the way the handle was attached. Having to press in on the drag star and rotate the handle backward is a pain in the backside. And the first time you do it you can never seem to get the handle tight like it came from the factory. I do believe that the patriarch series have gone to a nut style handle for the newer ones which should be much more reliable.- Does Charlie Moore Know How To Fish?
If memory serves me correctly he has some experience But if you are asking he can stand with the big boys like KVD or IKE I would say probably not. I know one member here has fished with him before so maybe he would be a better source of info and hopefully will chime in. Here's a link- What Breed Of Dog Do You Own?

This should help ya. They sell em at academy. It will be my next purchase for my boat. http://www.keelguard.com/- My Restoration Thread
I am looking forward to seeing the progress. While you are fixing it up don't forget to spend some money on protective measures like a keel guard and transom saver. - Need A New Worm Rod. What Should I Get?
