  1. x2 ....got an ipad for my wife for Christmas and the stepson put this game on there first thing..its a very addictive game for sure.
  2. Great fish!! hope my year starts that good..
  3. both are good reel, you can't go wrong with either of them.
  4. Can you explain this please?? i bought some lake fork 1/2 oz weights at a local tackle shop that was going outta business for $2 and they have plastic inserts in them..Seemed like a good deal but i haven't used them yet and now am a little scared to. Will they fray the line or something? They fall out, and the potentially sharp edges they are supposed to shield can nick your line. Well crap!! .. Thanks for the info J...Wanna buy some cheap tungsten weights?? ;D ;D
  5. now THAT is a good joke

  7. I like the hard lure, crankbaits spinner baits.etc. But if those are not working, then i will not hesitate to throw a worm or other soft plastic of so kind.
  8. x3 on this one..can't go wrong with these 3 and they will pretty much cover all the bases for all soft plastics.
  9. What a great representation of my state and of all the places it had to be where my football team is!!! No wonder we stunk this year ;D ;D ;D ;D
  10. Does the painted tungsten weights diminish the sound and feel of these weights. From what i understand some the appeal of these weights over lead is they give off more sound and feel than there lead counterparts. So i was just wondering if the painted versions of tungsten weights hamper the qualities of these weights over the unpainted versions???
  11. Red has said it perfectly. I have owned a black max going on my third year now. Never cared to do maintenance or worried about the abuse it took(which has been alot) and that thing just keeps on going. Still in my line-up as on of my go to rod right next to its more expensive counter parts.
  12. Here's the bait ( a zoom ole monster junebug) the spot (a great little laydown with some dying vegitation near) and the bass ( est. 5 lbs hit the bait as soon as it came over one of the limbs.)
  13. Hmm lets see 1 pro qualifier 4:7to1 ratio for deep cranking 2 Pflueger trion spinning reel.. 3 sexy shad kit from bps 4 the strike video game 5 Minn kota 34lps trolling motor for my bass raider 6 costa's 580 blue tint sunglasses. That's all the fishing stuff now if i could just get some warm weather....YAY looks like a forecast of 64 here on Saturday!!!
  14. Pacas seem to be a better value IMO. I have rage chunks and they are good baits but if i buy anything new it will be pacas solely because of the price difference.
  15. Congrats!!! YOU DA MAN!!
  16. Awesome lookin baits as usual!! The baby bass looks a little dark on the bottom side...the sungill is a great replica of the picture. and the pumpkinseed just leaves me breathless!!
  17. So what new lure or technique or old lure and technique do you think KVD will make famous in 2011? I think this year will be swimbaits. He's always been known for spinner baits, 2010 was crank baits(lipless all the way to deep divers), and he's made the sexy shad probably the best known color pattern in today's time. So what tricks do you think the best angler of recent times has in store for us in 2011?
  18. These are old shows..I won't spol the endings for you ..Can't wait till this season it my new favorite fishing show
  19. Used both of them this year. Both are great baits but only got bit on the paca craw. Big difference for me paca craws $3.50 for 8 and rage craws $5 for 7. More bang for the buck with the paca's
  20. Diawa Tierra rods are the best rod under $50. Sportsman warehouse is where i got mine 45 for the big ( 7-7'6 rods) and 39 for the 6'6. 9-10 guides depending on rod, IM7 blank. and Diawa name best one i have found. http://www.daiwa.com/Rod/detail.aspx?id=207&parentid=222
  21. Now those are words to live by! Before buying something, I try to ask myself: how does (that smooooth [and expensive] reel, expensive bait, excessive baits, etc.) put more fish in the boat (or on the bank). If the answer is that it doesn't, I can usually break the bond of the bait monkey. If you don't ask that question, or if you ask the question but ignore the answer, then you are a confirmed tackle junkie ! And that's OK.... ;D Oh but Goose that's where the bait monkey starts whispering "how do you know it want catch you more fish unless you buy it and try it ?" and thats what gets me everytime
