wow some good info has come of this ...thanks for the tips and new mapping sources..All of them have the good qualities but i'll have to agree bing is the clearest

Man those are some great lookin spots people!! Bad Bass: I'll bet you'll tear them up in the spring at the narrow part of that pond. Sharp shooter: that area is tailor made for some good fishing. I thought it would be fun to see some personal fishing spots (not known lakes ) and maybe swap ideas on how to fish em. I started with a small pond i've asked about on here before. I put some marks on it to help: Yellow area saw bass 4-5 chasin bluegill, Red area caught a 3 lb around the brush, White area PB 7lb (yay) ..and yea it really is that green.. ;D

I've seen numerous pro's do this where they make a few twirls with the rod to wrap the line around the rod for storage (i'm guessing thats why they do it?) does anybody do this and what benefits are there for doing this?

I agree. If he likes the revo baitcaster you got him i would stick with Abu garcia. Just fyi they do make a revo premier spinning reel although it is a little more than the $150 you stated but would DEFINATLY get you another YaY!!!

Seen a interesting thing on the college FLW show this past week (may be old to some people). Instead of using a weight at the bottom of there drop shot rig,they used a senko rigged wacky style...gonna try that next time i'm out.
