  1. Deadsticking: cast out your lure, let it sit there till you're dead, have your offspring come twitch the bait, repeat as necessary.. IMO quite possibly the most boring technique ever created..
  2. Auburn @ Mississippi St W 17-14 Auburn @ Clemson W 27-24 Auburn @ Kentucky W 37-34 Auburn @ South Carolina W 35-27 LSU & Georgia hung with them until the 4th Auburn has had all the breaks go their way great answer!! I think Carolina is lookin for some payback. They should have stepped up in the second half (along with Clemson) and we wouldn't even be talking about Auburn bein in the championship game. Cam Newton is overrated and Auburn has had a lot of luck this season to be undefeated.
  3. Zoom ole monster all the way...
  4. Probably the only time i will say this (seeing as i'm a Clemson fan) but GO *****!!!!!
  5. I'll have to go with centrifugal brakes on this one. My first bait caster had magnetic brakes and that's what i learned on, but not until i got a centrifugal brake system reel did i realize how much better they were for me. I also own a dual braking reel but never turn the mag brakes on.
  6. HAHA yep that would do it ......dang i even checked out all the forums to see if there were any titles that suggested it may have already been posted ;D
  7. this may be old news to some of you but is new to me ....enjoy... http://www.bing.com/videos/watch/video/girl-catches-58-pound-bass/64xditb?q=River+Monster&rel=msn&from=en-us_msnhp&form=msnhed&gt1=4200
  8. Awesome photos...thanks for the link. Makes you appreciate all that we have these days.
  9. To answer your original question Yes you can glue( actually epoxy) it. I have done this just because it seemed the top piece kept spinning around and it got frustrating. Now i must say that this was probably the cheapest rod known to man( walmart shakespeare xterra bc) and i really didn't care if it worked not. It was just a rod to experiment with and i would not recommend putting epoxy on a quality 2 piece rod. On a side note i did not notice any difference in performance when i epoxied the 2 piece together( but again you must consider the product that was used) and it eliminated my original problem
  10. Got my first flippin and pitchin fish on a paca craw 2 weeks ago...i love these baits.
  11. Yes i did..and yes there was
  12. I usually have a back-up for the deep divers(15 ft or more) but just have one for shallower cranks
  13. I use the Shimano voltaeus 2 piece rod with a pinnacle solene reel....Its worked wonderfully so far..
  14. Look up the different companies plastics online and watch the action of each. There's a difference. It's which one you like best that will produce the most for you.
  15. Yes it is.....been playing golf since was a child. Its that one good shot that brings ya back and makes wanna get spending money. But just like fishing equipment , golf clubs can be affordable if you look in the right places. I would check some local shops and look for some used clubs to start.
  16. Palomar knot for sure. I found a video on you tube with skeet reese showing how to tie and loop back through the eye....very informative....
  17. Nice one's!!!!
  18. I think "honor system" has been mentioned. If you're not 15 then you can't/shouldn't enter. If you need to falsify documents or deceive in order to scam a generous member of this forum then shame on you
  19. YAY!! congrats Mr. And Mrs.Road Warrior .
  20. Rooster tails do well for me as well as beetle spins..
  21. That's a good rule....and definitely stop to help out.
  22. Mine lately has been the Storm Big bass texas craw. I bought it for $3 at wal-mart and this thing has produced some good fish. I think probably cause of its low price tag, i am a little more willing to throw it close into cover and not be afraid to loose it. Here's the lure...
  23. Went with the only one i have experience with and that's the PQ. These are great reels..
  24. Mine ..well i used to go by jerkbait junkie cause i was addicted to throwing jerkbaits (recently recovered ;D) but the new name came from a conversation with my wife 1 day. We were out on the boat her tanning on the back deck me fishng, and she pops up and ask " why do you have to be so quiet while you fish?" I replied "because if you make alot of noise they might get spooked and run away, so you have be stealthy like a ninja" without missing a beat she says" so you're a bass ninja?" "yes baby " i replied " Ima Bass Ninja"
  25. Awesome stuff guys!...To those that use the same reel(regardless of model)...was the brand you are fixed on your first one or did you use different ones and decide those were the one's you liked best and why do you like that particular brand...is it feel, confidence or something other? I'm thinking of maybe just going to one brand so it doesn't so feel different...i can tell a big difference when I'm holding a trion and then switch to the PQ, i think my hands go into a mini shock ;D........
