ok i have to add a side bar here.. I understand lots of people are big Shimano fans, so i ask what does the quality or part does your Shimano have to have in order for you to consider purchasing. I ask this because i've seen reels with the Shimano name on them at K-mart and they ain't all that great of quality. I realize there's a difference, but there has to be something else that draws you to a Shimnao whether it be feel or weight or looks or something

Sorry Mr. Lee, being the son of a Michelin engineer i have to disagree. In my opinion there's nothing that compares to a Michelin. I have seen first hand the quality and detail that goes into a Michelin tire. It has that name brand and reputation for a reason and when it comes to tires you always get what you pay for. I'm not bashing Bridgestone but just don't see them being the quality of Michelin's. And yes i have owned both

zara spooks and those walk the dog baits. Covered plenty of water but unfortunately they always come back to the boat without fish :'(

it gets a 9 for coolness factor but would probably lose it luster after riding around for a while.

i caught this fish a while back and at first thought it was a brim but the mouth as you can see is very large for that fish so maybe i'm missing something? Anyone know what it is? This is from a pond in SC and there are many crappie,brim and bass along with carp and catfish..

What is your must have for a reel before you even consider buying it? For me it would be an aluminum frame..How bout you?

careful with that reel..i've got a reel with the same handle and IF you can get it off it most likely will never be the same..

Good job on the review. I find it a very entertaining read and some good info when looking for new products, however if i may make a couple of suggestions...First stay away from the .95 or .whatever additions to your score. Round numbers are always easier to remember when out buying stuff and if you want your review to be part of that decision then breaking the score down to decimal points will only confuse the buyer and they will quickly forget what score you gave it. Also when coming up with an overall rating it should be an average of the other scores. Currently this is not the case as all your scores added together and divided by the number of categories the product is judged on come out to 8.975 and you gave it a 9.5. Sounds more like a 9 than a 9.5. I merely offer these suggestions to give your reviews better continuity from review to review and not as a criticism as it is very apparent that you have spent a lot of time testing and formulating an opinion based on your experience. Keep up the good work

2 thanksgiving dinner for me(then wife's family and then mine)...5 hrs on the road and approx 350 miles logged.....i.m beat and stuffed!!! What a thanksgiving though i wouldn't trade it for the world

i use a cd holder the kind with the fabric and plastic, never had an issue with them falling out and it keeps them separated and organized. here's the one i use but you can get them in smaller sizes if needed..
