  1. White ICE! That's all I have to say....this is how I rig mine.....2-3foot leader on a two way swivel and a 4/0 hook weightless especially post spawn omg I kill em on the shoreline dude like if I don't catch at least 20 in an hour something is wrong.
  2. Love the carolina rig man...especially in the summer you can cover a vast amount of water and stucture def on points man or drop offs. Most of the time I start to use this rig right when the females come off the beds. I use french fry worm or the double ringger from zoom its my deadliest bait man.
  3. its all about a slow presentation....look to the points that go form about 3-10ft with structure those fish will be scattered all on the points and holding tight to structure until the next warm weather hits then look to the creek channels and coves pref shallow. Good Luck. ;D
  4. welcome from north central NC!
  5. My honest opinion, somewhere around 5lbs.
  6. The 4" zoom lizards are great for grass and or stumps or tress....especially the "mean green!"
  7. My name is Andrew, i'm from Durham,NC. Love to bass fish, and have been for 15 yrs. I am enlisted in the U.S. Navy im on the USS COLE DDG-67. I used to post on this site all the time but rarely do I have the time to do so anymore. I do have a goal and that is to one day fish among the elite fisherman today in the Bassmaster series, I don't know how long it will take me but someday! God Bless.
  8. Good subject, The biggest bass I have ever seen caught were at night....most of these mosters can actually be caught about 3-10ft right off shoreline if you are fishing on a bank of a pond. I love night fishing it's insane to hear an enormous bass slamming your lure. I like to use a Pop-R, Double blade buzzbait, and a midnight spiiner bait colorado blade becuse of the shadow it will produce and vibration, which leads me to say that thats one of the most important tactics when you fish at night "vibration." ;D
  9. Def the Red Craw especially now until late summer!
  10. The bast thing about being a fisherman and being in the military is that its hard for someone to tell you "NO!"
  11. I do believe it will imapct us all a little, but you guys are right this is our hobby and get away from the real world trust me I try to do that as much as possible being in the navy....im always out to sea and or other operations, so when I fish its like another world and atmosphere and will never get old. This is our past time and we all have a part in this economic standpoint, I also think that even though some of us are not getting a lot of new gear this year, well why not use the gear we have and be sucessful on using the gear some of us have had for years still in the packaging and be thankful for everyday we have to go out there and fish, not saying no one is this way just my 2 cents. And things will get better and we all need a goal to set this year in this sport, it will take the ease and some stress out of you guys...like throwing out a lure you never use, learning how to be more proficiant in drop-shotting...ect. Eitherway we will overcome. With that keep your line tight.
  12. How do you think the economy will affect the bass federations on tournament fundings for the anglers in todays economic downfall, the money definatly isn't gonna be the same as it was before our recession?
