  1. Lures to fish in order: Buzzbait to cover water quickly. Rebel Pop-R Bettlespin for little bass. White spinnerbait with a little red spinner if the water is muddy. Good luck. And one more thing. I have heard of bass congregating near fountains for more oxygen, so try fishing there.
  2. Rattlinrogue, that is an idea I have not thought of. Thanks for the info. And yes, I am truly in to bassin'.
  3. I believe they spread out. When I fish muddy water, I catch all my fish away from cover.
  4. Thanks guys. This will help ALOT! ;D I read your article LBH, but do think an inflatable kayak could handle a trolling motor? It gets pretty tiring swinging a paddle all day.
  5. The only boat I have is an inflatable kayak that has zero storage space. Does anybody think that if you fish from a boat you have a better chance to catch fish? If so, I propably will try to fish from my kayak, taking along little plastic boxes for my lures. I hope the hooks won't make a hole in it. lol
  6. I have never been spiked by a catfish yet, but I am dreading the moment of graduation. Too bad you can't just lip them without worrying about getting wounded like you can with a bass.
  7. Thanks for the help. This information will help when I am out on the water. I did not know that the slime theory really worked.
  8. I love to fish for catfish. After catching a few, I have a few questions. Question one: why do catfish make that croaking sound when you haul them out of the water? Question two: what is the proper way to hold a catfish ( specifically channel catfish) without getting spiked. I would appreciate some help.
  9. I saw it at the book store yet decided to spend my money on a better book.
  10. Welcome. I will definitly have to agree with you that this place is a great site. I found it by accident.
  11. Welcome aboard. This is a great place to come when you can not be on the water.
  12. I keep mine in the original bag. I have had my worms melt and bleed. It also helps keep in the awful smell of Berkley Powerbait.
  13. I would definitly say the cold winter months.
  14. To see how lures act underwater, you should try catsting into a pool. ;D
  15. I don't use live bait unless I am fishing for striper.
  16. Sorry. I ment Iam i not correct?
  17. Hello. This is a great site, am I not?
  18. Poppers and jitterbugs beat all.
  19. I'm new to bass fishing, so what is a drop shot?
  20. Usually nobody is fishing, yet there are a lot of people around the lake. The bass are pretty much sitting right on the banks waiting for lures. I hope that this answers your questions.
  21. I've been fishing in an extremely small, man made, neighborhood lake and have been catching plenty of bass at 8:00 - 9:00 p.m. They were all on jitterbugs. The water visibility is about 1 inch. I would guess that the temperature is about 75 degrees F. They deepest part of the lake is five feet. Then last evening I could not catch anything. The bass were feeding on the top. I used poppers, a Rapala, a jitterbug, and a jig. I could not catch anything. Any suggestions?
