Most Memorable Fights (with a fish)
Best fight I ever had was fishing one summer day in lake recon just north of Cleveland , MS . Wind was hitting me in the back thus giving me more length in my casts. Slung a chartreuse and white spinnerbait into some thick cover FAR out. Mind you i was fishing on a dock. Soon as it hit the water and I had enough time to tighten my line up and start reeling.......BAM! Fought him for what seemed like 2 or 3 minutes..got him up to the dock bended down and reached over to grab the fish and he came loose lost forever was heartbroken but was still so much fun.

Hello everyone , Names Colton and I'm a new member here at the forums. I love bass fishing been doing it for about 6 or 7 years. Nothing like hanging your first "large lip" I was hooked from then on. I'm a pleasure fisherman...no tournaments for me , but I might if the opportunity ever arrived. I currently fish lakes in Dockery , Buelah , Drew , and Cleveland , Mississippi . My favorite baits would be a Rat-L-Trap , Worm , and Jigs. Love fishing heavy cover and thick vegetation. I'm 18 years old born and raised in Cleveland , Mississippi . Would be out on the lake now if it wasn't for this darn wind . Anyhow , thats me and if you have any questions feel free to ask Thanks

What is your favorite fishing situation?
nothing beats throwing a Rat-L-Trap around sunken trees but I would have to say my favorite is throwing scum frogs over lilly pads and top floating moss.. its like watching a firecracker explode right by your bait. SO MUCH FUN!

crankbait fishing
Ditto on this one. It seems like this "knock-out" technique triggers more strikes. I personally have had some jam up good days where (when reeling through heavy brush) have brought the lip up to the cover then as what was previously said pause and let the bait rise keeping a "half-slack" line...Then BAM! it feels like a truck plows into it. It's almost second natured now when fishing around thick brush to use this technique.

Cold water largemouth tactics
today was relatively cold here in sunflower county , Mississippi . I did rather well with a baby bass colored rattle trap . Got 3 nice heavy bass and a few small ones too. Tried the worm and jig with the slow approach . Caught 4 average size bass ranging from 1-3 lbs. Did great fishing the banks with thick vegetation and cypress trees.

What did you catch your personal best on?
actually caught my personal best a week and a half ago . Fishing a small lake in Dockery , Mississippi . 65 degrees Sunny . Used a Rat-L-Trap (Chrome with a blue back) 7lb 5 oz. First cast in the water lol!
