Re: How many people in your family fish?

Featured Replies

How many people in your family fish at all, bass, walleye, pan-fish? I have only my uncle, he is more of a walleye/pike guy though :'(. I'll have to change that.

I am the only one that actually goes fishing on a regular basis. :'(

And the only ones in my family that really fish, are my cousin and uncle.

13 grandkids & 5 kids of mine plus mates--I can't count that high ;D ;D

No one. I'm the only one. My Grandmother taught me to fish when I was 13 years old. I've been hooked ever since. Thanks Grandma.  :)     Happy fishing.

Theres only two in my family... I'm the freshwater fisherman and my dad is the saltwater guy. I've tried to take him out but he likes the "lazy" way... sitting and waiting on a bite.

Just 2 of us...My son, and I..the wife isn't too keen on fishin, the last time she tried it was in 1985..Anyways, we mostly fish for bass, but sometimes I sneak a couple of days of crappie fishin in there.. ;)

I can fish with a different member of my family each day for almost two weeks. There's always someone wanting to go fishing. :)

Just me .... Than again thats half the reason i fish :)

Just my sister and I.  Everyone else in the family thinks we're crazy for waking up early in the morning just to catch and release fish, but we think they are the crazy ones who are not fortunate enough to enjoy the sport of fishing.   :D

Just me and my dad inthe imediate family but alot of my cousins and uncles fish

Lets see, Well me of course, then there are my two little brothers who love to fish like me they will be members of BassResource.com before to long, then there is my other little brother who pretends that he doesn't like it, until the fish are biting then he likes it, my older brother does not fish unless we go on a guided stripier tour, both of my little sisters like to fish, my dad who got me started he loves the sport like me but for different reasons, my mom who as a rule does not fish, my brother- in-law likes to fish, my older sister doesn't fish, but I can't wait to get started on her son as soon as he's big enough to hold a rod ;) I say that there are 4 die hard fisherman in my family, then everybody  likes to fish, all except my mom and older sister

Could not be further from the truth.  Most east coast Florida winter days are casting into a 20-30 mph wind with 3-5 waves, hardly being lazy.  Or if one is a bait fisherman, catching bait is no easy chore now, not to mention getting soaking wet as each wave is busting over a pier ( some do get washed over too) again that's hardly being lazy.

If you want to catch fish in salt it takes more work than one realizes.

As a guide once told me "tide is everything......."

Me , both of my brothers , uncle , mom , grandma , grandpa , dad , etc

my whole family fishes..I'm the only bass fisherman :D I'm getting my youngest brother hooked on large lips as we speak. If I have anything to do with it he'll be catching his first bass this afternoon :D

Me, my dad, brother, uncle, 2 sons.

I can't honestly say I know of anyone in my family that doesn't fish.  My whole family is a bunch of country folk and the older ones grew up fishing to help feed the family and the younger ones have just taken after them.  I will say though that I'm only one of 3 of us that mainly bass fish just for the fun of it.

My wife and 4 sons fish.  My older brother fishes as well.

My father took me and my older brothers fishing when I was little.  After he passed away when I was 12 years old, I gave up fishing until just a few years ago.
