Nice going ! I fish the pocono's as well - all public lakes and the Delaware - don't ever get the numbers you got - sounds like a great place you have access to !

Upper Delaware River
Anybody been out this summer to the upper Delaware. I usually launch at Bushkill, but with all the high water last month or so, haven't been able to get out. Had a couple great trips last year, but early this year wasn't as productive ... love to know what everybody's using - for me the 3" senko is working best.

Green Lane Reservoir PA
One of my most vivid memories from years ago was on GLR with a 12 ft flatbottom & trolling motor. I was forcing myself to try and learn how to use texas rigged rubber worms (long before the senko era). I pounded that place for hours using nothing else, getting skunked, just trying to learn what rubber worms were all about and why everybody (on TV) was using them. So I finally came to some wood about 50 ft off shore ... one of the few "visible structure" objects I saw that day ... and took my time, casted 20 ft past & worked it painfully slowly to the stump. Then there was a little tiny tap tap tap. From watching the bassmaster religiously on tV (Rick Clunn, Larry Nixon, Shaw Grigsby ... pre KVD era), I knew thats all it would be & that I have to set the hook ... so I laid back on it & IT WAS ON !! That little stump produced an 18 incher ... it was the first bass I ever caught on a texas rigged worm & I think I was hooked more than the bass after that ... I still prefer worming in one form or another over all other kinds of bass fishing

hi guys - just trying to figure out the gov's reg's on this quarrantine ... I haven't been out fishing yet as everything I hear indicates no golf, no fishing, pretty much no nothing right now. Are we technically allowed to trailer our boats without getting hassled and fish under the quarrantine ? THanks -

How do your techniques change when water temp drops in fall ?
I've never had much success fishing smallmouth in rivers when the water temp starts to drop in the fall. I typically fish 3" or 4" senko's (texas and wacky rigged), nose hooked soft plastic jerkbaits, traditional lures such as rapala's, spinners, small spoons, small spinnerbaits, etc). Just seems like the bite in October just isn't there using these kinds of presentations. I'd love to hear just general thoughts on how more experienced fishermen change what they do when the water gets cold in the fall ... thanks guys

Nice fish Yotone ! Bigger than anything I've got this year for sure. Getting alot of smb in the Delaware, but no size... Sideline question ... hopefully, what I'm about to ask isn't frowned upon akin to asking to dance with another guys wife ... another eastern PA fishing discussion board (EPFR.net) has been off the grid for over a month - I can't find any reference to whats going on anywhere on the web. I know most of us die hard fishermen frequent other boards ... just curious if anybody has heard anything about whats going on with EPFR.net or if its DOA ? I found this in my computer cache - just a reminder of what their web site used to look like ... thx for any intel

Any Luck In Upstate Ny?
Anybody been out on Otisco ? Had a good day out there last summer - heading up for LMB and hopefully a tiger muskie or two in a few weeks. Have a small bass boat & launch at the marina, so usually fish up from the causeway ... far shoreline. Senko's and spinnerbaits were the best last time we were up there. Any tips or advice for techniques/what areas are best to fish Otisco (mostly for LMB) ? Many thx !

I have a small boat so I'm limited but Bushkill has been productive - prefer the stretch downstream that doesn't get as much pressure. I think I had a small muskie on earlier in the year - saw the profile as it swam by the boat - figured it was a small muskie or pickerel ... but lost it & didn't get a chance to see it up close. Even caught a small largemouth recently - first time I ever saw a LMB in the Delaware.

I usually launch quite a bit lower, at Bushkill. Some really nice water, but weekends are a mess in the summer with the campers and armada's of canoes that all the outfitters dump in & constantly disrupts everything around 10 AM. Do you have to deal with all the canoe floatilla's up around Matamoras ?

Eastern PA Fishing Reports
Been the best summer in years on the upper Delaware. Boating 20-30+ smallies every time out - none of exceptional size, just loads of fun on ultralight gear. nose hooked fluke type minnow baits and 3" senko's wacky rigged ... plus topwater bite has been exceptional. Any other upper Delaware guys here ? Last year when the Delaware was too high to fish (nearly all summer), I fished Bradys quite a bit. It gets alot of pressure and is almost always windy, making it very tough to fish from a small boat. Never did that well in the top / weedy section, but the shoreline across from the launch was productive mostly using topwater. Decent lake ... still learning it though - it's deceptively large to fish with an electric motor.

Plastic boats: Bass Hunter vs. Pelican ??

Plastic boats: Bass Hunter vs. Pelican ??
Hi folks - I'm going to try one of these small boats for electric motor only lakes & ponds. Weight is a huge consideration for my old back & I like the extra length of the Bass Hunter Stalker II. My local Dicks Sporting Goods carries the Pelican 10E & it's a couple hundred bucks cheaper, but 40# heavier. I guess my question is if anybody has any positive or negative experiences with either brand they'd like to share ... many thanks. John
